The Walnut Store

This is one of the most beautiful b&bs I’ve stayed in. My mother and I took both rooms (suites really) for a few nights and were quite blown away by the modern architecture of the stand alone building with floor to ceiling glass doors that slide back to reveal the garden and birdsong. The beds are super comfy (firmer mattress in the Wanut Store, softer one in the Sun Room). Both rooms have excellent walk-in showers plus baths, the one in the WS being a whirlpool. Everything about these rooms is tasteful and elegant. As well as little patio areas outside the rooms , there is an outdoor pool and terrace to relax by. Breakfasts are superb and you may, if lucky, have eggs courtesy of a Poppy and Bluebell, the House Hens! Sally makes everything look and taste utterly delicious. The Royal Oak pub, a few minutes walk away has very good food. Prestbury is near the racecourse and a 10 min drive into the centre of Cheltenham. Sally and Tom are delightful hosts who made us so very welcome and I couldn’t recommend this beautiful place with its delightful hosts more highly.
