The Riverside

Been to the Riverside a few times and always very friendly and welcoming, lovely place to relax, breakfast brilliant, evening meal brilliant, staff brilliant. We love the rooms overlooking the river with the sound of flowing water it’s tranquil. Will definitely be returning. Boscastle a great place to visit.

Lovely clean room with everything you need, tea/coffee replenished daily ,beds so comfortable. 
Staff so friendly and accomadating nothing too much trouble.

Breakfast pre order but staff did not let us down when we were too late one night.

We were passing by and thought we would try this Restaurant/cafe for a latish lunch. We all (4) ate something different and the food  was excellent. The ladies serving were very friendly and helpful. We had a main course and a pudding/cake. The carrot cake  I had was delicious . We sat inside but there is a lovely terrace overlooking the river if you want to be outside.

I’ve had a nice cream tea in my time but this was the icing on the cake! Totes amazeballs!! We loved it! Hit the spot and more! Beautiful place, great service and lovely scones!! Loved Boscastle, the witchy museum and this ended the day perfectly, The service was top notcher and the grand finale was my six year old being shown the beautiful bridge and feeding the ducks! ❤️

Clean spacious room, breakfast and Sunday carvery was tasty and hot. Friendly staff, helpful, comfortable and would return. Views were beautiful and the hotel was in an ideal location. Car park is 2 minutes from the hotel, it costs 6.30 for 24hrs. We stayed in a double room number 15.

My week at The Riverside has sadly come to and end.  Had a wonderful week.  Ross & his Team are so very welcoming & the breakfast are delicious.  The facilities and rooms are great & always clean.  Had their carvery today & it was rather delicious too.  Roll on May for my next visit.

I love the Riverside and I have stayed there 3 times before, in fact it is now an annual experience. The location is perfect, the ambience is warm and friendly, the staff are delightful and the breakfasts are fab! I will be booking for next year. 

We had a fantastic stay here. The room was lovely with great views of the river (and the ducks!). It was also one of the cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in.  A word of warning, there are a lot of stairs and while we were offered help with our bags, if you have mobility problems, it may be an issue. The wife is Plant Based and the breakfast options for her were great and we ended up eating in the restaurant every night for the three nights we were there (unusual for us) due to the PB options and the quality of the food. (They even had Oat Milk sachets in the room, a new one on us!)
The Staff were all friendly, chatty and helpful and made the stay an extra pleasure.


The staff here are as lovely as the location. We popped into in for breakfast which was very good, and they bought my little girl over a massive tub of bread for her to feed the ducks with. These things make such special memories. I love this place.

Fantastic location, excellent service and nothing needs changing, will be going back for sure. Staff very efficient and food very good indeed. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a night or 2.

Great place to stay

Absolutely beautiful & stunning hotel that compliments the surrounding area.  Rooms are so spacious, furniture is fantastic & the bed was super comfy. The room was spotless, loved the views, listening to the stream in the night was wonderful.   Breakfast is so yummy, had smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, haddock & poached eggs. Staff are super friendly & nothing was too much trouble.  My Fiance passed away in May & this was the perfect place to stay for a mini break, my daughter was in awe of the surroundings.  We were in room 15 at the top of the building & couldn't have asked for better. Would definitely recommend family, friends.

We had a lovely stay here. All the staff we met were friendly and welcoming.  Our room was spacious,  spotlessly clean with plenty of storage and with one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. Breakfast is ordered the evening before via your welcome pack or ipad in reception and it was delicious,  with plenty of choice. We also ate in the restaurant one evening  and again  the food was delicious. Would certainly stay again.

Last minute booking but a fabulous find . Great room, breakfast and the hosts were very welcoming . You can’t go wrong . Previous reviews mentioned the ordering of breakfast via iPad . We though this was a great idea . Easy to do and ensures breakfast goes smoothly , and was definitely delicious . Thank you Riverside we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return .
