The accommodation is nice in the green in nowhere, yet you are quickly in the place and in about 45 minutes at the hot springs and waterfalls. The accommodation is nice set up, everything you need for a few nights. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked well. The hosts are very personal and friendly. It was cooked for us in the evening so we didn't have to go out again. Breakfast is also delicious. The son and his girlfriend and the mother take a lot of time for the guests. Here you have felt the hospitality. The dogs are very nice. A motorroller can be borrowed for 300  / day. In the room there is sometimes no comical noise, since in the meantime an animal is in a row. But it is not necessary to go to the grave, as well as it is. There is nothing bad to do on the rooftop.

I read all the reviews before booking this stay and was a little dubious that there were so many high ratings.... however, having just stayed there for two nights I can fully support why people were so charmed by it.
The hosts, a mother and son team were just wonderful.... they could not do enough to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. It all started with a free shuttle pick up from the bus station. On arrival there is a free selection coffee / tea and bottled water, also fresh fruit which is available throughout your stay..... and free freshwater refills.
The accommodation lodges are well appointed for the price. There was a huge fridge in our room with "four" free bottles of water in it. TV, aircon that worked very well and a fan. Plenty of hot water in the shower and good wifi.
There are numerous sitting areas around the property including hammocks that we made good use of.... a viewing platform with new outdoor beanbags to watch the sun going down over the Chiang Dao mountain.  Bliss.
They have a huge pond full of fish which you can feed.  The setting is wonderful looking out to the mountain and hills.
They can arrange any trips you require including guided trekking etc and transport at reasonable charges. We arranged to be taken to the nearby cave and the "500" steps temple then collected when we finished.
We stayed two nights and both nights the family cooked a lovely dinner for us, as was breakfast with cooked eggs in the morning.
In summary, a very kind, welcoming family that could not do enough for us.(Only regret is that we should have planned to stay longer). Bear in mind that the accommodation is rustic and laid back. Great value for money.

It’s a beautiful and quiet location to relax run by a delightful Thai family.
The food is excellent and they cook specific local Thai cuisine for you to try.
They have their own car and will shuttle you to attractions such as the temple, hot springs or cave nearby for a small charge. 

Friendly family run hotel

Pros:-
-it was clean 
-sink was big 
-they had a tv
-minifridge 
-bathroom was fine, separated by a wall 
-hot water shower worked well 
-the owner was really friendly and nice 
-breakfast was satisfactory and they offered to give more bread, the jam they have is really good and they have fresh bananas 
-in a tranquil farm like setting 

Cons:-
-bed and the pillow. the bed mattress was hard but the worse thing was the pillow. terrible pillow, couldn't sleep on it at all as it gave me a headache so i literally folded up the blanket and slept on that. pillow is too high and too hard
-no shampoo or shower gel provided, only soap bars
-no wifi in the room, you have to go to the restaurant to get connection 
-no aircon only fan 
-location is a little far from anywhere, i mean if you have a car you can get to the main place within 10 minutes
-no daily housecleaning but it was fine with us as we stayed for 2 nights only

Lovely owner and friendly staff but with a really uncomfortable bed and pillow

In a quite place, little cottage waiting you for rest. But.... windows has not curtains so you will wakeup by sun maybe at 0600am!!!  At night you can hear the sound of frogs and in the early morning the cockcrow is the chirping of the birds will wake you up. No AC but fan. Medium taste the breakfast good size of plates. If you want more ask!!!  ATTENTION only cash. 
At last good place for little time. 

Little cottage in the quite place. 

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dream Home whilst here in Chiang Dao for a week. The guesthouse is situated in the centre of Chiang Dao, whilst being a short distance from the hustle and bustle so you are totally secluded and get a huge amount of peace and privacy. The rooms are well furnished with everything one could need, continental breakfast is provided and absolutely delicious every morning with different local jams to try. Oi and her son are lovely, kind and very welcoming to everyone and run the guesthouse not solely for profit, but to make friends and meet new people. 

You can rent a scooter or bikes for a reasonable price from Oi, or if she's out then they'll arrange you one from a local business (highly recommended as the Song Tauws are all extortionate out here as they are price fixing)

The gardens are exquisite and views of Doi Luang Chiang Dao and neighbouring mountains are spectacular. I would love to return here and trek up Doi Luang Chiang Dao with her son one day.

Wonderful Stay

We loved everything about this small and peaceful resort. The room was clean and comfortable including a fridge and decent shower. Our room included a private terrace and there is so much space around the resort  that you never felt crowded in. 
The owners are really nice, knowledgeable and great fun and they provide a brilliant complimentary breakfast. Free fruit and drinks are available all day. 
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend unreservedly if you are looking for simple, clean accommodation. 

Everything perfect 

This is a huge property in Chiang Dao. In the middle of nowhere
Please follow the signs for reaching here. Signs are clearly marked on the side of main road.
The bungalows are very beautiful with clean bathroom.
They have a lake within the property.
The view from Bungalows is breathtaking.
Breakfast served is very delicious. Free bananas , tea, coffee throughout the day
Hosts are very welcoming and helpful.
Free Wifi is available. Room has a TV unit and a fridge

Very nice hosts

I feel like no one should come to Thailand without going through Chiang Dao and no one should come to Chiang Dao without going through Dreamhome! It's a wonderful, quiet place, surrounded by nature, the owner and his son can't be more friendly and kind people. The owner took us to rent a motorcycle in his car, gave us medicines for an allergy that went out, and how to tell you how to cook!! If you want to try the best Thai cuisine for a little money to prepare your dinner, we'll pack the dishes! We've been traveling for almost 13 days but without a doubt this is the site we've enjoyed the most without so many tourists, everything is very real and invites to the full reflection and relaxation.

A must-have experience. 100% recommended.
