The hotel is very nice located directly at the lake. The rooms are plain and simple, clean. The bathroom it’s so small you can hardly close the door when sitting on the toilet.￼

The food at the restaurant of the hotel could be greatly improved, especially for people with allergies. For the amount of people we were (a seminar), I would expect a bit more variety and not always the same kinds of salads.￼

Nice location

We were very well received. The hotel has a beautiful view. The pool and spa are great for a small weekend. Breakfast is also very good and we ate well there, although the dishes are limited and a bit expensive.

I was there on the occasion of further training. The extra meeting break (32-CHF!!) includes a 3-course lunch including mineral water. Salat buffet was certainly fresh but quite dull. Hot food is ok at most, tedious, unpleasant. Service was rather unfriendly and unpleasant. Dessert was not available to everyone at first, only on demand was filled. Coffee/tea must be paid extra (CHF 3.50) - price performance unfortunately not.

Very nice location, restaurant satisfactory unfortunately

Very friendly staff, fine food, good room for the rehearsals, clean rooms, stunning views with balcony, only the bathrooms are very, very small, but for a weekend it's good enough.

Theatre weekend playground

We came here on our two-day hike around the Lake of the Four Woods. The service staff was very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and sufficient. The house is centrally located and yet quiet. There were two larger seminar groups in the house, but you hardly noticed. No five-star house, but simple and very good.

Ideal intermediate station for walking

The hotel consists of several buildings. In the house right by the lake was my room. The view from the balcony on the lake is beautiful. Especially on the dawn day with the first rays of the sun, the lake is immersed in a mysterious atmosphere. The room is very simply furnished. The shower cabin with toilet in the room corner is very narrow. The walls are very bright and occasionally you hear the rushing waterfall of the toilet. Otherwise, the hotel is ok.

Beautiful location by the Lake of the Four Woods

Actually, it was a nice hotel with a good staff, but our family event was threatened with failure because of a dog ban in the restaurant, and yet we were told to go to the winter garden as soon as possible with a dog in our pocket and leave the hotel by the back exit. Maybe the hotel offers animal-friendly rooms, which then doesn't quite fit the dog ban in the restaurant. Still, thank you very much.

From being animal-friendly

In October 2016, we were able to celebrate our wedding here - and I can't recommend this pearl at the Lake of the Woods enough... The stylish hall (Jade) in the old building is perfect for a 40-60-person company; and there are two other small rooms (winter garden/salon) that give the necessary space to the party (preparation of productions, photobox, tables for gifts, wardrobe - which is often all you need). An overview plan can be found on the homepage. The food tasted all the way is simple and simply fantastic and was also for the eye to enjoy.

Perfect for the perfect wedding party!

Pleasant staff & swift check in. Good English spoken. Lovely, simple, clean rooms - but nothing extra. We had a room on the top floor in the old building which had a great view. Breakfast was very good, but - as other reviewers have stated - lunch and dinner was a bit boring.

Charming place with just what we needed

The Pluses: comfortable bed, friendly staff, room had a balcony with a lake view, breakfast included, convenient location. The breakfast had fresh fruit (check peaches, apricots for ripeness), yogurt, cereals, fresh breads, cold cuts, cheeses, veggies.  Adequate storage and hanging space. Doors to the buildings are motion sensitive and open automatically till night time when you need a key. Easy walk to restaurant, ferry terminal, bus stops, hiking trails. The minuses: top floor - hot, no AC, no fan, just the balcony doors for ventilation (no screen - bugs); you can cover the doors with a sheer curtain (no light blocking, no privacy), a heavier curtain (privacy, some light blocking), or a metal mesh (like a FL roll-up hurricane shutter) that provides a dark room but minimal ventilation; one balcony door regularly popped off it's top hinge - reported to desk clerk and was fixed; the bathroom is a 30"X50" closet (about 14" from toilet to door) - if you shower with the door closed, the shower curtain will hug you to death and the shower water will flood the tiny bathroom; the sink is in the room. Both curtains are on the same track and the balcony doors hit into the curtains when open. Note: room was in the older lakeside building.
