Sleep Cheap Ella

What can i say? Only stayed one night but wish i stayed longer. Amazing guys taking good care of you! The bar they have aswell is increible and really cheap. Dinner and breakfast was outstanding. Had breakfast pancakes, curd and kitulani and wow!! Incredible!
Would highly recommend to however is passing through here. You would definitely be missing out if you dont stayed here.

the best place ever! 10 min walk from the town with the best View of Ella! The owner is the best! What to say about the breakfastt....in a restorant you Will pay at least 10usd for that! BUT here you pay 3 usd for acomodation and the breakfastt is includedd! Imposible to miss this place! Ohh they have the cheapeast bike rental of all the town!!! And you should rent a bikee to see Ella!

The leader of the hostel is super helpful and the hostel has a really familiar atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay and got a delicious breakfast on the terrace every morning.

Wonderful place to stay.good service.we enjoyed a lot.easy to travel anywhere near ella.the place is near to the ella railway station,just about 200 meters.so the best way to travel there is left from railway and walk towards colombo.

The staff is amazing, super friendly and ready to help. One bathroom with hot shower. Night and delicious homemade breakfast for 5€. They also have coffee ir you ask for. Perfect location, 1 minute walk to the main street.

A little bit away fom the main street which is good: you feel relaxed while Ella is not a relaxing village at all (ultra touristy).
It's close to the cheapest restaurant (upper part of the main street).
The (european) breakfast is included and can be very nice (changes from day to day).
Toilet and shower are outside (like one meter from the house).
Beds and mosquito net are ok.
The owner is really a nice guy and has the information I needed.
I liked the common breakfast on the terrace to socialize.
My "dormitory" has only two beds! And i think the others had three. So more quiet and no bunks bed.

Only thing is that you can't sleep late because the train passes early in the morning and the car and trucks honk in the nearby curve from around 6 or 7. I found it ok as you probably want to hike when it's not too hot anyway and breakfast can be served around 7.
Also, be aware that there are no lockers and rooms have no keys.
A little difficult to find: it's above the road, very next to the bridge.

Really lovely staff - who work so hard! 
Very comfy beds- double size too for a single person! Big individual dorm rooms- my friend and I had two beds in one bedroom. 
Breakfast each morning was delicious! 
Great walk in to town of Ella
Also great starting point to get to nine arch bridges and little Ella’s rock walk.

Transport to tea factory provided by hostel tuk tuk at good price 

Really enjoyed our stay here we would definitely come back!
