Myself and my friend booked to stay here last minute. No idea why it isn't rated as superb on Booking.com, we both loved everything about this place. Every member of staff that we interacted with was super helpful and kind. The breakfast was spot on, my favourite part in particular was the chocolate sauce for the pancake 😋 Our room was cleaned whilst we stayed here and the lady did an immaculate job even leaving us fresh towels and topping up the complementary toiletries. If I could give a ten out of ten I would! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Incredible! 

We stayed here in this house for 2 days to see Nine Arch Bridge and little Adams Peak. Room was beautiful and fits perfect to our needs. The owners are kind and friendly and they know how to treat guest in an unforced way. Compliments for the house keepers 😀. Next time we definitely visit this house again but then we will take the train from Colombo instead of 🚙.

Amazing stay

Very clean and modern hotel centrally located in Ella, in a quiet side street. Friendly helpful staff and a good breakfast. After four weeks traveling Sri Lanka this was the best hotel so far. Owners arranged travel to our next destination at a very reasonable price.

Great place to stay in Ella

Such a lovely guest house. Large comfortable room with hot shower and comfy double bed. A lovely family and great hosts, they made us feel very welcome. 
Would highly recommend this house to others travellers as couples or single.

Excellent guest house

We stayed here for a few nights. People were very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was big, we could choose a different one each day with coffee or tea with it. Rooms and common areas were very clean and well maintained.

Great breakfast and nice people

I really enjoyed my stay at the White House Ella. My room had a huge balcony that I could sit and relax on after hiking all day. The best rainwater style shower with great pressure! The house is close to all of the hiking trails and also close enough to town that you can walk everywhere but no too close that it’s too noisy. The breakfast was great. The WiFi great. The staff were so friendly and welcoming but their English is not great so is hard to organise things or ask for advice and the owner (who speaks great English) is rarely there. I had one issue where the owner suggested using a guide to go up Ella rock. The guide wasn’t great and to be honest I didn’t need a guide anyway as I could of found my way just with some simple instructions. My advice is that if you are adventurous/ independent and don’t mind perhaps getting a little lost or asking for directions then don’t use a guide for any of the hikes. Overall I loved my time in Ella and a lot of that had to do with my stay at the white House Ella.

Amazing place to stay in Ella

Spent two great nights in this centrally located small hotel.  The place is charming and the staff very helpful.  Breakfast is a delicious start to the day.  The rooms were clean, quiet and well appointed.  It felt more like a home than a hotel.

A comfortable small hotel in a good location

Very nice place.Clean Well situated with a wonderfull view.
It is a good starting point for Little Adamś peak or Ella rock.
Close to the center and really very friendly staff.
I would definatelly recomend it.

Nice Boutique Hotel, comfortable room with balcony. Hotel has two nice sitting areas with comfortable chairs. Owners were friendly and accommodated all requests.  Breakfast was basic menu. Hotel short walking distance to town restaurants and shops

Comfortable stay in Ella town.

Myself and my four friends spent two nights here and it was perfect for what we needed. Great location which was important as we had lots of places to visit and didn't spend much time sitting in. 
The staff were very welcoming and provided a lovely breakfast.
