Great location, great hosts, great breakfast for cheaper than I could find it anywhere in Ella, comfortable beds and bedrooms with fans. It’s not luxury accommodation but it was clean and excellent value so I would stay there again next time I go to Ella.

Excellent value, great location and very hospitable host family

It was what I hoped Ella Ecolodge was. After such an awful experience I contacted the host, as I was contemplating canceling given it was on the same road as Ecolodge.

It’s VERY peaceful at the end of a very long road-that you can walk to from Ella main drag. Best WiFi in Sri Lanka.

The host is so wonderful and considerate. He doubles as a tuk tuk driver and took me to the train in the morning for.... FREE!!! That was unnecessary as I tried to pay him. And.... he made me a packed breakfast.

Such a lovely place and I recommend as host so courteous! 

It’s actually a Silent Nest

Very friendly and comfortable guesthouse, very close to Ella's main street. Good value for money and tasty meals available upon request. Free WiFi. Hot shower. Staff very happy to help. Highly recommended.

Lovely guesthouse in excellent location

I stayed with Sunil and his lovely family in juli 2015, after all of Ella was fully booked. This hotel still had a very nice room for me. The bed was big and with mosquito net, the bathroom very clean and I didn't hear any noise during the night except for some dogs barking. 
The location of the hotel is perfect, just along the main road a few minutes from the restaurants and shops.
Sunil is the best host I met in Sri Lanka! At arrival he sat down with me, we had tea, chatted for a little and took care of the financial stuff. He gave me a lot of advice on places to visit and how to get there. 
In the mornings his assistant cooked me a very nice traditional breakfast with the best Sri Lankan tea. They even let me sit in their living room to watch a little TV with their son, have a nice chat and have some snacks. Sunils wife is a teacher just like me and one of the days I was around when she was teaching her class English. So lovely to see, such a nice teacher and cute kids! When I left Ella Sunil and his family got me a little gift to take back home :)))
All in all I would absolutely recommend staying in Silent Night, the rooms are clean and safe and the owners are the best hosts you can get. They will help you out with anything and make you feel at home.

Hello Sunil, I'm sorry I didn't write a review earlier! My laptop died last summer and I forgot what the name of your hotel was.. I did try to figure it out, but just now succeeded. I'm very happy I finally found you, because I now I can thank you one more time for the great time I had in Ella thanks to you and your family! I'm still enjoying the tea you gave me as a gift, it's such good quality! I hope business has been well for you and I hope your family is well and healthy. Wish you the best!

Best place I stayed in Sri Lanka!

It's a perfect placed in the center of Ella, and the host is really friendly. When we tried to make recommendations to the host to buy some new bed sheets because of big blood stains on the sheets that we had, we where met by a ignorant host who wouldn't listen. The maid was really nice and friendly.
