94 reviewsI arrived Negombo Village on Dec 4 evening. My three friends were already here. Unpacked and assembled my bike before we embarked on our bicycle tour around Sri Lanka the next morning. Even on the fading evening light the place looked warm and very welcoming, Rashmika and his grandma greeted my arrival in what we would discover later in the tour, the trademark friendliness of the Sri Lankan people. The huge mansion is well kept, clean and made us feel immediately at home, the surrounding village environment have me the feelings of my own village home. On Saturday, yesterday, after cycling over a thousand miles around most parts of this beautiful island, we are back at Negombo Village. Tommy and Tony had gone back home to Malaysia and KC and I decided to stay on here at Negombo Village until Jan 2, using this lovely place as our base for our remaining days of exploring the neighborhood on our bicycles. Salute to Rashmika and his grandma for their true and authentic Sri Lankan hospitality. We really love this place and may we meet again in the future. Happy New Year 2020!
