We stayed here for 15 nights using it as a base whilst we explored other parts of Sri Lanka. I’ve read some of the other reviews and the negative ones appear to be from a couple of years ago as they are completely opposite to what we encountered. That said, I also note a couple from people who stayed for a night whilst we were in the hotel. Breakfast from 8am was never a problem as the staff here are so accommodating and will try and help you out if they can. I really can’t fault them for their friendliness. The hotel is clean and for the cost, which included great Sri Lankan breakfasts, is good. Breakfast is far better than just “okay”!! Unless you don’t like Sri Lankan food (then why bother coming to Sri Lanka?). It’s not perfect but then the price doesn’t warrant perfection, but it is very good. The only problem is that the wi-fi is not particularly good in the hotel. The location is fine and the centre of Kandy is easily within walking distance. Also, Kandy is a busy, noisy city so don’t expect silence anywhere!!
