Jungle Guest House

It's a cheap place perfect for staying 1 or 2 nights (I stayed for 2). The guesthouse is located within walking-distance to the station, busstation and the ford, but the beautiful trees and the wild animals let you feel like beeing somewhere in the jungle. Most important: The owners were very friendly. After ordering and eating delicous noodles we got to taste some pancakes for free :-)

We entered Galle and saw all the trafic, damn. We searched for the Jungle Geasthouse and what a relief! It is situated in their own small jungle. Between the palmtrees you find it. Heaven in Galle! 

The place is so hip and cool! 
The beds are the best beds I had in Sri-Lanka.
The breakfast was delicious! 

We totally recommend it! 

We arrived here late around 9PM after having a bad scenario in our guesthouse in Galle. We arrived without a booking and they gave us a friendly and warm welcome and prepared us a private room with a fan and shared bathroom. The room itself was clean but hot at night. The bathroom could use a good cleaning to my opinion, the shower was good and warm. They prepared us a breakfast in the morning, which was good and tasty, although quite pricy to my opinion with 11 dollars for 2 persons. The hostel itself is located on a quiet side road, this guarantees a quiet night. It wasn't social at all, but maybe it was off season (2 November)?

It’s a hostel: shared rooms and bathroom. Clean.

We booked the hostel the day before, we arrived and they were friendly. The owners are not the best at English but enough to get by. 

The room was comfortable with a double bed, basic but had everything that was needed. 

We checked out at 11 but they still made us breakfast after this time which was fruit, toast, eggs and a hot drink. Could have used the kitchen more but we didn’t take our own food. Nice but can be noisy as they have a dog which likes to bark. 

Good place to stay if you’re looking for somewhere cheap. 

This is a relatively new place that has been opened up by 2 Chinese visitors who have stayed in Sri Lanka. It's a little out of the way so about a 10-15 minute walk to the main town. I found it the cheapest hostel in Galle, good living and kitchen area and everyone is very friendly so if you are looking for a decent cheap place to stay I'd suggest here.

Good value

Sad to report this isn’t great. Our room was absolutely baking hot, the fan squeaked all night and the windows had to stay open. All we heard early hours were the local dogs barking. We checked out 2 days early as no sleep. Nice people and the breakfast was good but sadly can’t recommend.
