Shelly Beach

Tahiti Sands seems pretty nondescript from the outside but the units are amazing on the inside. Well kitted and generously sized apartments with sizable balconies which overlook the beautiful Shelly Beach and onto the majestic Indian Ocean. Security is attentive, friendly and welcoming, as was the reception cum booking office. Best to book a second floor apartment for the nicest ocean views. The interiors are neat, clean and impeccably maintained. Fresh beds, linen, towels are all supplied. The self catering unit has a great kitchen, well stocked with just about all necessary equipment and cooking utensils. The bath tub was a bonus, and is big, wide and spacious. There is a sparkling large to dip into too as well as a jungle gym for kids under 12. The complex has direct security gate access onto the beach which is a big plus. A minutes walk and you are right on the incredible KwaZulu-Natal coastline. The beach is clean, with gorgeous sand dunes and coastal vegetation. 

Lovely stay at Tahiti

Great base to explore KZN South Coast ... we went to a different beach every day, all within 7-30 minutes. Day trips to Wild Coast and Oribi Gorge also easily accessible. 
The apartments have very beautiful views. Kitchen has very basic cooking utensils and furniture throughout is rather sparse and not luxury. Easy access to the beach downstairs. (not a swimming beach). Restaurants and supermarkets are all very close by (5 minutes). No elevator so carrying bags and shopping up 3 flights of stairs is a challenge.

Annual Family Holiday

The apartment we had had had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen open to the living room and a wonderful giant terrace directly to the sea (the photos don't beautify anything, which is really great here). The view is simply spectacular, and then the whole thing for a price of 70 euros a night (off season). The apartment is within walking distance of several restaurants and the Shelly Center and still quiet with direct beach access through a secure gate in the garden. Every day is also cleaned. Although there are no air conditioners in all the rooms.

Incredibly beautiful location, seventh place

Helpful, friendly staff from start to finish.
We had a choice of rooms and decided to stay on the second floor. The rooms were perfectly clean and well presented. The view from all the rooms is nothing short of spectacular with large patio doors leading out on to a huge veranda to soak up the ocean view.

Well worth a stay

We spend two nights ( in 22 June, out 24 June ). The 3 bedroom flat is beautiful, well equipped, Overall very relaxing stay, big balcony with build in BBQ, easy access to the beach (access controlled gate directly from the premises). 
NOTE: TV channels very limited with only MNET Smile, SABC channels and sport channels). Due to the fact that we live on the North Coast ans used to summers here, I will think twice booking in summer time as there is no Air Conditioners.

Beautiful modern apartment with great view and location

Spacious, large garages, great beach and mall access, clean pool, perfect spot for a family weekend. The views from the balcony make this a perfect location for beach and braai weekend.  Friendly staff.

beautiful views and convenient location

I spent two nights at Tahiti Sands in 12th to 14th July...it was very convenient to all shops , restaurants , movies . The apartment itself was clean and spacious and right on the beach. It is very safe with 24 hour security.
