My boyfriend and I stayed two nights in a room with a private bathroom. It's an unpretentious hostel. I assume we paid 30 euros a night, so 15 per person and of course it's worth what you pay. The rooms have essential furnishings, as well as the bathroom, in which there are no personal hygiene products or hair dryers. The rooms are not cleaned the next day and the towels are not changed. At the reception they only accept cash for payment. As for the area, it's certainly not the best. It does have ruined buildings used by clochards. However, the center is nearby (15 minutes walk) and for the evening you can use the most economical taxis. But at the end of the 30 euros a night I don't think you can make any more claims without Tim. So maybe the advice to young people wants a low-cost vacation.

Good value for money

Convenient located next to the main railway station, if offers basic accommodation that suits any tourist in transit. Also it is a great value for money, being one of the cheapest options in the city, so it's worth the money.

Good transit hotel

The hotel is very close to the northern half of the island, so it's very convenient. But it's very noisy and crowded. The hotel is very ugly and it doesn't have air conditioning. It's quite cheap, although you can find better.

Comfortable but ugly

I enjoyed the geographical location of this hotel, just opposite the Timisoara station, since I was coming by train from Oradea and then on to Budapest. On the other hand, the station and the hotel are quite isolated from the historic centre, which is within a good twenty minutes walk. The reception is impersonal, the rooms too, the decoration nonexistent. My room was particularly spacious, clean, with a refrigerator and a small TV. The breakfast was also minimalist. But for the price, I don't blame anything on this hotel which turned out to be a good solution.
