Pensiune-Restaurant Tara Luanei

We had a romantic getaway for 4 nights here, in the middle of the summer. We stayed at one of the houses 
Pros : 
 Nice looking room, quiet and we had a little porch in front that was nice  
 The food is really good 
 Staff is welcoming and friendly 
 The location is in the middle of the nature, good place to recharge your batteries

Cons : 
 Some rooms smelled like dust, a little more cleaning would be nice.  The smell was not deep  so it was not bothering us 
 The pool is in the middle of the restaurant, it is a bit strange.

We stayed at Tara Luanei for a weekend and it was the perfect place to get away from the city. The location is perfect, near the forest. You can swim in the pool or you can relax in the hot tub. The food is very good. The staff was very nice and helpful.

We spent the last weekend of March at this place together with a large group of friends. We were totally 12 adults and 6 children. The rooms are a bit small but very clean. There is the main building with restaurant downstairs and rooms upstairs.    There are also few thematic rooms which are separate from the main building. They are private villas with a room downstairs and another room upstairs. I stayed in the Greek room. I found the furniture and finishes to be of good quality. 
The location is surrounded with vegetation, it is up on a hill and for the summer i saw they have a jacuzzi as well.  
The food in the restaurant is good, the variety is good enough, they have mainly meat based dishes. The staff is friendly, very patient and very understanding. With six children we made a lot of noise and had many demands that were met without hesitation and without giving us the impression that we are too much for them.

Relaxing time with good service

Perfect weekend getaway

Tara Luanei is a pension with a nice concept, a combination of vintage with modern, nicely decorated and styled rooms. We had 1 night of stay in the Japanese themed suite, which is an apartment on 2 levels, with a sofa on the ground floor and a bed (mattress) on the second floor. The food in the restaurant is tasty, albeit maybe a bit more expensive than the rest of the restaurants in Sarata Monteoru. However they do have to work more on the hospitality side of the business, as the staff is not trying at all to make the guests comfortable or feel welcome.

Nice concept, needs to improve service

The site administrator is very unpolite and disrespectful with tourists. At the end of staying, we've been extra charged for having some drinks from outside - we procured such drinks because at 20:30 hr. the restaurant is closing, so no other option if you want to have a late chat. We were NOT informed in advance that this is not allowed. When asking for details on this extra charge, the administrator started yelling at us and be very nervous. We paid to avoid a scene, but the experience was terrible. Be careful!!!!

Terrible stuff, they are overcharging

So we went for a couple's weekend there , arrived late in the evening, room full of ladybugs. No other rooms available. Staff tried to clean up but with no success, they kept coming throughout the whole night. Could not get a good sleep because of all the bugs falling on us and flying around. We complained to the management in writing. No reaction. They said we are overdoing it, it was only 3 ladybugs. We have pictures and movies of the hundreds of bugs in the room. Not a good experience. Also the place is falling apart, flooding in the bathroom, warm water not hot, electric wires hanging from the ceeling.. etc.  The whole concept is really nice but they don't live up to the 4 stars price they ask.  We moved the next day to a much nicer location.

Great location but found room full of ladybugs and other insects.Customer service is a zero.
