Visit the Educational Institution Uros Torani Pata, which is among the only floating schools in the world.The children are very docile, caring; they speak Aymara, Spanish, Urdu, English and sing hasta in 8 languages.I share with them unforgettable moments in my life and will visit them again very soon.% recommended.

We have visited the islands of the bears and whether it is something exceptional and different from what you have seen. but the question that arises is whether these people feel good and comfortable with all these tourists who come to the islands every day, we have been asking and what they have told me about the extreme. they still live there because the government does not give them a house on land, they suffer from various diseases because living in so much humidity and with the lake so contaminated is not healthy. i felt guilty for participating in this circus of which only a few can benefit.

I can't believe this.

It was an excellent stay on the islands, I recommend that you take the 2-day 1-night tour from Puno, as you visit 3 islands (Uros, Amantani and Taquile) The 3 are very interesting! and the good thing about the tour is that you spend time with a family and learn about their way of life, their traditions and culture, they are super friendly, it's worth doing this tour!

It's a must visit!

This is an out of the ordinary experience, to stay on an island made of reeds and hope for the best, but we had fun even with the language difference.  

The island was decked out with seats, swings and the like but it is an opportunity to relax. There is no wifi and power is limited to two USB power connections.  All power is solar, so options are limited. The bathroom water was hot, but we were not offered a shower.

The meals were simple, no choice was possible and our fellow guest who was vegan was stuck with only fruit for breakfast and quinoa for dinner.  There was no coffee offered and no milk.  The hot water for our needed coca tea (due to altitude) was always available.  

Christina had us try on the local grab and pose for pictures.  

There was a bit of a hard sell on the overpriced wall banners that Christina says she makes herself.  They took us on a small boat trip to explain fishing with the nets.  There was no actual fishing done, just a demonstration.  

But you are sleeping in a cabin that is floating in the lake. That is something.

Creative and captivating

We enjoyed a very different and interesting way of life, the fish is from the freshest... from the weather to a good nap... conveys peace, tranquility and a sense of being in a place where the weather does not pass...

It was incredible.

Seven kilometers from the town of Puno-Perú, there are the floating islands of the Uros, at 3,800 meters above sea level, in the cold and blue waters of Lake Titicaca.-Islands made of a grass called totora, these islands are 3 meters deep and float to more than 15 meters from the bottom of the lake.-Boats, plentiful dwellings are made of this material, at home the island live about 5 to 10 families.-The place is wonderful, its inhabitants are very affectionate, simple and live on fishing, hunting and their beautiful crafts.-Susans in Puno, traveling with their children, in the only transportation that they have, the boats in that place, in the city comprise tourist attractions, most of the time, the inhabitants of the island live on the five to 10 families.-The place is wonderful, its inhabitants are very affectionate, simple and live on fishing, hunting and their beautiful crafts.-Susans in Puno, traveling with their children, in the only transportation that they have, in the city comprises the boats
