Hostal Santiago De Los Caballeros

We were lucky to have found this quiet, comfortable oasis a little bit away from town. From the outside, all you see is a wall with a gate but once inside there is a beautiful courtyard with exotic plants and a sitting area to relax. We stayed in the first room to the left (near the stairs). The room was spacious, modern, and clean. We were impressed! There were 2 double beds, tv, great AC and modern bathroom. We felt comfortable and safe in our room. There is a full functioning kitchen that we didn't really use, but it was nice to have. There is a large sitting area where we would let our infant crawl and play. We didn't have to worry about cars since we were inside. Wifi was good, although stronger in the reception area. I think we paid $30US/night and stayed 3 nights. Leon is very hot most times of the year so it is amazing to have a cool, functioning AC that we blasted all night. The staff was great, hospitable and friendly. They called us a taxi when we needed one and always attended to our needs. It was a pleasure staying here. Highly recommended, and toddler approved!
