Great and easily accessible facilities which were really clean, considering the amount of people staying on-site. Easy to get campervan around the site, with the powered site a good size for putting up awning without being too close to neighbour's. 10 min walk to town with lots of eateries. Beach is sandy and gorgeous for swimming.

Great place for campervan stay

We camped in a non powered site. The campsite and facilities were clean. There’s plenty of toilets and showers and lots of space in the kitchen. There’s great security on the site as well.

It is a very family oriented site which means it can get quite loud as there are lots of children. Great for families but can be a little disruptive if you don’t have children. 

Great facilities

Stayed in the park during labour weekend 202 3when although booked out, the park did not seem crowded or over full. I was travelling with friends in caravans and was lucky enough to get one of the studios close to their spots for myself.

The studio was really clean and well equiped, tv, microwave, great pressure in the shower and surprisingly a heat pump which was handy in the heat.

the studio even came with a set of table and chairs on the small deck overlooking the park. There seemed to be plenty of facilities for children and adults alike, with movie night, a small stage and a rec room which seemed to be well used. 

The staff were helpful and friendly and was certainly one of the better camping grounds I have stayed in. Would happily stay in the studios again.

labour weekend 2023

I dont normally review places but this place warrants it and esp when I saw two previous reviewers bagging the office staff. They were perfectly courteous and helpful to me. But it was the park that made it for me. Excellent facilities and clean. The location is perfect, handy to the water for swimming and sunsets and just over the walk bridge to town. I travel around with motorsport and have stayed in a ton of campgrounds and this is the best ive stayed in. The cabins for $55 with running water in them are a bargin. Its safe and quiet and good to know there's contactable security if there is an issue. Highly recommend.

Expectations exceeded!

Awesome spot, large sites for caravans easy to get in and out. Walking distance to town and short walk to playgrounds and skate park and big field area for ball sports for the kids and bridge to jump off at high tide. Kids had a blast. Pretty busy over waitangi weekend was glad we stayed an extra few nights after most people went home. First time to raglan and really enjoyed it as a holiday spot. Definitely recommend driving down to kawhia and doing hot water beach if you have a spare day.

Cool spot

Recent overnight stop on way back to Auckland . Is off the main highway - but Raglan always worth a visit. Reasonably well priced campground, with very good facilities, good sized sites - well lit at nite,  excellently located within easy walk of downtown Raglan , a 500m walk across a walk-cycle bridge into town. Nice quiet spot, would stay again

Great RV stop

Everything was OK. Very clean shared bathroom, with 4 minutes free hot water shower using Guest Card, shared kitchen was good with plenty of cold storage and ovens. Many dinner tables outside and BBQ under the roof. Enter and leaving the park through electronic gate with guest card. Only our nice overnight stay tainted with old grumpy man, a guest at non powered tent Lot 165, when we were have normal talk, not whispering, but not also shouting at 7.55pm, he was madly shouting to us "SHUT UP" several times. We cannot choose the our neighbor, as well as the Park cannot choose the guest, but it just bad luck for us have such grumpy old man close to our site. Just to let you know the park's noise restriction is after 10.30 pm.

Clean and Nice Holiday Park

Nice and close to town, pretty clean facilities, strange shower system, only get one swipe card for a couple? Could get a second swipe card for $5 dollars but since we are on a budget we decided to just share a shower. Also, shower only lasts 3 minutes. Now when there are 2 of you sharing 1 shower, 3 minutes doesn't quite cut it. However if you move between shower cubicles every 3 minutes you can have unlimited hot showers and it's a great way to meet the neighbours!

Not bahd

Where do I start - it was all 5-star.  Exceptionally friendly welcome on arrival, smooth check-in.  We were allowed to set up the tent earlier than normal check-in.  Could choose our spot and were given guidance on where the best ones were based on our preferences.  The sites are a decent size.  The whole camp is very well run and maintained.  Plenty of sinks and fridge space in the kitchen and really thoughtful little extras like handsoap and paper towels in the kitchen, Stickers for labelling your food in the fridge were very much appreciated. Nice big outdoor dingin bbq area.
The whole atmosphere across the camp - from the staff to the campers - is one of holiday joy - it's a really happy place.  Everyone respcts the rules and it's so relaxing.
The location is outstanding.  You have the feeling of being away from it all at the beach but it's only a lovely short walk across the bridge to town (quicker than driving).  Great little shops in the townhip too. Lovely safe swimming on your doorstep. We thought it was very reasonably priced for everything it offered.
Harry the caretaker (Prince Harry) is a delight.  Hardworking, helpful and hilarious.  Loved our daily interactions with him. Really looks out for all the campers. Interesting to hear the recycling initiatives he's introducing.  Please support these moves campers!  
I note lots of complaints in the reviews about the 3-minute showers, but bear in mind much of the hot water is solar so need to use it sparingly. 
Only thing to note is with our campsite we kept hitting rock when pegging out and had to move our tent 3 times to get all the pegs in.  Not sure if we were just unliucky or if this is a problem on other sites.
Anyway on the whole a super enjoyable time and we will most certainly be going back...and encouraging others to join us!

Outstanding place - left us buzzing

Great place, very big site. Loved proximity to Raglan town for quite cheap. Clean facilities ( toilets were cleaned at least twice in the day time). Kitchen was big and had lots of space for the size of the place. Quiet and secure and literally right on the black sand beach! Couldn't fault a thing.
