Excellent
66 reviewsI stayed the week of Dec. 6 to 15, 2019 and was impressed with everything from the lunch room and gigantic kitchen with several gas stoves and two electric stoves, pots, pans, bowls, plates, and cutlery which all look brand new. There is also a very long multiple layered shelf dedicated entirely to free food that was left behind by residents who had left. The bedrooms are spacious with large lockers that requires you to have a lock of your own. The beds are furnished with one thin sheet and one thick, soft, heavy blanket. But, the room is well ventilated with windows and a fan. The entire building is new. Nothing is dirty which is very important to me. The shower room is an independent room on the 7th floor but appears to have several shower stalls in one bathroom on some of the other floors with I think reflects the type of occupancy of the rooms on the floor. There is a laundry room in the basement which is a little space deprived when trying to get through the door. Otherwise it is spacious enough and has an iron and ironing board. Use a credit card to pay for the washers and dryers. Finally, the location is great being only a 10 to 15 min walk to the city centre. Check-in was smooth but occupying the room is at 2pm but conveniently you can store your luggage in a locked room. TIP: There are two supermarkets in the relative area: one in front of the City tower and the other in the town centre on Queen street at 125 Queen street approximately a 10 to 15 min walk from the hostel.
