Tulip of Amsterdam

When our flight was first canceled, it was a great relief that David, our contact person, was so responsive and easy to communicate with. Once, there, our hosts exceeded our expectations with their warm attentions—even helping us carry our luggage up and down the stairs, and walking us to our Uber pick up spot. The place is incredibly charming! Exactly what we had in mind. We loved the pitched, beamed ceilings, clever use of the cozy space, and the colorful decor. We stayed in the top floor (which I only recommend if you're in good shape, and healthy enough to climb winding, narrow stairs!). Like most of Amsterdam, it doesn't have an elevator. But it does have AC! That was life-saver, since we happened to arrive during days when the temperature was hitting record highs. But most importantly, the place's location is unbeatable: It's walkable distance from the Amsterdam Central station, and steps away from the heart of the old town. Bonuses: They provided snacks and an espresso machine with coffee supplies inside the room. They also had a nice common area with even more supplies. We highly recommend it!
