Far away from everything there is a nice ranch with all kinds of animals. Some of us went horse riding. A unique experience to explore wild life. The food and service was excellent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Suggestion: rooms can be a bit more modernised.

Great place and great food

A wonderful place to stay. Rooms comfortable and well appointed. Great outdoor spaces to relax.   Wildlife good. Professionally run. Only the highest standards acceptable. Staff well trained and friendly. Cannot get better food anywhere in Namibia. Owners personally involved and friendly. Lots of activities to do. Stay two days! One night too short to experience all. A wonderful place on the way to the North to stop and relax. 

A real oasis in a barren and remote area.

WHAT YOU SEE, IS NOT WHAT YOU GET! On first glance, the four camping sites look just "normal', but what a surprise to have everything you need... and the best, is a beautiful, big bathroom for our exclusive use! Campers use all facilities at the lodge, wonderful meals under the stars and  the most friendly, helpful staff! We WILL be back to stay longer and enjoy the adventures they offer!

Gabus camping experience

We stayed 4 days at Gabus Game Lodge and it was a great time!
The hosts and their entire team are very friendly, helpful and committed!
We felt very welcome and almost like "at home".
With a lot of love and professionalism, attention is paid to small details which make the difference and our stay perfect.
The food is really excellent with local ingredients, which are prepared very professionally and presented in the form of an extensive buffet. 
Again, a lot of attention is paid to details and a visit of Gabus is a must from culinaric  point of view.

Highly Recommended

We spent 4 nights at Gabus in April 2024. A family with two children under 10. It is an oasis, located just 1.5 hours away from the Von Lindequist Gate of Etosha. We can tell you that the beds were comfortable, the food amazing, the wildlife experience exhilarating and the opportunity to horse ride amongst game a true one off for a family like ours. But what made it matter was being welcomed and made to feel at home here by the Kuehl family and their team. Genuine warmth and hospitality does not come on a training course. We will come back. Thank you.

Genuine warmth and hospitality

The staff were all incredible, from front desk to dinner, all amazing. Loved this little retreat in the country, you can watch animals at the water hole from the private terrace off your room. Lovely pool area to relax in and they have a campfire in the evening with a view of the water hole. Breakfast was excellent, dinner was on the pricier side for a lodge at N$400 pp but the quality was outstanding so I was ok with it.

After two weeks of heat and dust, my wife and I were ready to chill for a few days before going home. Gabus Lodge proved to be the perfect place to do this in every way! Amazing food at a reasonable price, good wine, lovely service and staff and an all round amazing environment to watch wildlife and soak up the sun. We would recommend stopping by wholeheartedly. 

A perfect end to a perfect holiday

The place is great value for money. Wonderful people with great service.
Buildings show the old farm, so bit out dated but giving the place a feel that you miss wit many fancy places.   Rooms are great and clean. Having great view over a waterhole. so there are a lot of wild animals passing by.

five star experience

Fantastic overnight stay at the campsite. Good area to camp and excellent facilities. Dinner in the restaurant overlooking the waterhole was the best on our trip. Fantastic 3 course meal with excellent Impala schnitzels!  Quiet farm atmosphere
