I just wanted to write to say how kind the hosts were. We unfortunately left Riad Elixir prior to staying a night, due to the location. This was nothing to do with the Riad itself but was simply down to what was outside of the front door. Location wise - if you’re searching for authentic hustle & bustle, a bit far out from the touristy scene, with more of a local vibe, this Riad is in the perfect spot. But prepare for local customs! The inside is beautiful and although we didn’t stay long enough to see it all, our room was generously sized, very comfortable & peaceful. Unfortunately for us, we wanted a calmer environment and that was our fault for booking so centrally in the Medina. Thank you to the hosts for taking care of us, letting us stay to figure out our plans and for walking us to the nearest & safest taxi spot - after a truly overwhelming experience entering the Souks.
