Easy to find location, less than 10 mins walking duration from susukino station. (for easier nagivation, utilization ur google map app)

Reserved my 1 night stay via booking.com. The price includes onsen usage, message and other spa services to be paid as accord.

Provides good quality toiletries in bathing and grooming area; you do not need to bring any of yours. Just be prepared to spend 2 hours to enjoy the different stations. Enjoyed the steam room with sea salt provided for self skin exfoliation. 

Nice experience though most instructions and menus are in Japanese. As long as you ask the helpful service staff or watch politely how the others are doing and follow suit, you'll get to experience the Japanese bath 

I was really looking forward to the stay as I was really curious about capsule inn in Japan but it's really hard to find one that caters to women.

I was not disappointed at my stay, in fact, highly impressed by the facilities though it took me awhile to get through the check-in process as they hardly speak English! 

Love the onsen and they provide almost everything you need - hair dryer, shampoo, toner, lotion etc etc so you can practically come in empty handed.

Nearest train station: Susukino via Namboku Line (Green) - take Exit 4

Check in: 1700hr (pay on the spot for each night. So even if you are staying for consecutive nights, you will need to return to the counter to pay for each night).

Upon entering the premise, women to proceed level 2 and men at level 1 for registration. 

- please take off your shoes before stepping on the carpet.
- please clean the bottom of your luggages with the tools provided (if required)
- proceed to counter for check-in process. You will be asked for passport and to provide booking reference if you have. You will be asked to make payment for your first night only.
- you will be issued with a locker key for your shoes and after you have stored your shoes, please return key to staff for retention.
- if you have a luggage, you will only be allowed to bring the luggage to Level 3 to unpack whatever you need for the night and once you are done, you will need to bring it back to counter for safe keep. You will be issued with a luggage tag. (TIP: if you want to avoid a mess, prepare a day bag with whatever you need for the night so you can deposit the luggage straight at the counter upon check in) The personal locker provided is very small.)
- if you have a capsule booked, u will be given a capsule number. (NOTE: capsule room for ladies is located at level 2, next to lift. You might be informed that they no longer provide tv in the capsule, probably due to noise?)
- proceed to level 3 for your personal locker. Turn left after you come out from the lift. (NOTE: The onsens are also in the same direction). 
- you will find a pink attire in your personal locker. However if you would like to try the onsen, please remove your clothings and place them in the locker. You may use the small towel provided near the lockers.
- before you enter the onsen, please use the shower area (NOTE: shampoo, soap, facial foam, disposable razor, toothbrush are all provided). There are two outdoor onsens and 3 indoor onsens, sauna and steaming room.
- if you are heading out, exchange your locker key for the shoe key at level 2. Keep the shoe key and you will be issued with a receipt. Please retain the shoes key and receipt as you will need to show the staff in exchange for your locker key upon your return.

I had always wanted to stay in a Capsule Hotel so whilst visiting Sapporo for the Snow Festival I decided to finally stay in one.
Spa Safro is a great place to stay and you leave feeling super relaxed.
This Spa and Capsule Hotel allows Women and Men and is the only one to do so in Sapporo. As stated in other reviews they do have basically no English so they kind of just point at a map to show you where things are. I was a little confused to begin with as I couldn't figure out where the lockers as they are through a door from the lobby just past the couches but it only has a sign in Japanese. You get changed into a pink nightie type thing and that is your outfit for your stay. 
I found the Capsules were surprisingly comfortable and very warm. The pillow is a fairly small and hardish buckwheat one so it takes a little getting used to. No WiFi access in the Capsules but it seemed to work up on the fourth floor for the ladies. The baths are the best past, they are quite fancy and look new. You have so many options indoors and outside as well as Jacuzzi beds, sauna and a steam room with salt that you use to exfoliate. You can also get a massage and spa treatments. If you are spending the night you definitely need to go the baths a couple of times as it's pure bliss. After your soak you can head to the powder room with lotions and hair mousse as well as some face treatment machines. Almost everything you need, except for your make up or deodorant. 
On the fourth floor you can chill out in the lounge and watch TV, eat in the restaurant or even have a nap in the nap room.
Day visitors are allowed and if you feel like you can sleep anywhere then you can also pay an extra overnight fee and just sleep in the nap room for the night.
This is a great place to experience two of Japan's great things-Capsule Hotel's and Onsen's whilst exploring Sapporo

I really enjoying staying here while visiting for the snow festival. I have to admit I liked it so much that I stayed inside much more than I should have. I will do a run down of my experience. Overall for 4,800 yen you get breakfast and a awesome spa.

Check in: Very easy, yes the English is limited, not they are not rude. I think English intimidates them and they just are being super formal. You put your shoes in a locker and give the staff the key. They in return give you a locker key for you belongings. .

Paying: You pay everyday, so I checked in at 10:15pm and paid for my first night. At 10:00pm the following night I paid for my second night. When you leave for the day to explore you will give them you locker key and in return they will give you your shoe key and a receipt. KEEP THE RECEIPT! They operate on a scanning system and your receipt has your bar code on it for them to scan you back in. I know silly, but my first time I threw the thing in the reception area trashcan. Luckily I was able to retrieve it from said trashcan when I came back.

Locker: They are small, think high school locker. I brought a backpack and small collapsible back and made it work. If you have bigger items they will store in a backroom and give you a tag. The locker room is where you can change into issued jumper/robe they give you. You are more than welcome to stay in your own clothes but seeing as everyone else was walking around in them I did too. Medium weight cotton, pink, not see thru. 

Layout: I was suprised at a earlier reviewers confusion. This places isnt very big and very manageable. You walk in the spa safro building, to the left you will see stairs that say Lady Safro. They will take you to the women's reception desk, be ready for some 80's pink and rose decor. On you left will be the shoe lockers and on the left is the changing room/lockers. In front is the reception desk. Around the corner further to the left it the doors to the capsule sleeping area. There is also a elevator that will take you to the spa/relaxing areas.

Spa: This made the whole trip worth it. I could have spent day in this place. So take the elevators up to the 3rd floor. Come out and to your right is an area to do you hair and makeup. They provided cosmetics too ie lotion, hair products, etc. They also have toothbrushes with toothpaste already on them. To the left out of the elevators are lockers and cubbies. The lockers are for day guest, the cubbies to the left are for guests things. You disrobe here and head down the stone stairs to heaven aka onsen. They have a indoor and outdoor part all amazing. My favorite was the steam room with rubbing salt. There is a restroom in the onsen area so you don't have to leave the warmth.  Overall great onsen, no tattoos allowed but if its in a discreet place I am sure you can hide it with a towel. They have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, facewash, and razors as well. You literally need to bring no cosmetics besides your make up. I found the products to be of good quality.

Restaurant:  This is on the 4th floor, come out of the elevators and turn left. You will see tables a bar area and TV. Just sit down anywhere and they will serve you. If you continue past this area you will come to the treatment/spa rooms. In order to access the bedrock room you have to go through the spa locker room. Bring a towel to lay on the bedrock gets really hot. If you come out of the elevators and turn right it brings you to a room with reclining chairs with personal tvs. Its a great spot to just chill and relax after being in the spa. There is a button you can push for drink service, they also have water out for you. My stay included breakfast which was either western or Japanese. I chose western both days and it was delicious. Wifi is available on the 3rd and 4th floor but not in the capsule rooms.

Capsule: It was not as small as I thought it would be, I could sit up completely and not touch the ceiling. I am 5'8 and I still have a few inches of clearance. The beds are kind hard but I prefer cloud like beds. There is a light and power charger in the capsule. You close a curtain when you go to sleep and there are extra blankets if you get cold. There is a bathroom back out in the lobby, not too far but def wakes you up with the the bright lights in the middle of the night. 

Location: Amazing 10 minute walk to Odori Park and very close to Ramen Alley. 

Overall I really enjoyed my time, even thought I was the only foreigner.

Great Experience

Great for Solo travel

This was a cheap capsule hotel which was about 20-25 minutes walk from the station (taking account all the traffic lights you have to wait for whilst crossing the roads!).  It’s straightforward and is a pleasant walk.  Area feels safe, even very late at night and early in the morning.  Loads of restaurants and bars close by.

There are no English signs throughout the property and the staff only speak a very limited amount of English.  It therefore makes it a little bit complicated to work out what you need to do to get around and explore the property.

You arrive at level 1, leave your shoes in a locker and check in.  Take the lift to the 7th floor (regardless of which floor you are staying on.  When coming out the lift on the 7th floor turn right to get to the lockers/spa or turn right and follow a corridor around until you find another elevator, which will take you to the floor where your capsule is.

From the 7th floor, you can also walk up to the 8th floor, where there is a lounge to relax in.

When you check in they do give you a little map and some instructions on what to do and where things are.  Unfortunately, this is all in Japanese.  If only this was in English, or there was some English signage it would make it a nicer experience for international guests.  Once you understand where things are and how to get about, it’s quite easy and straightforward.  To improve they just need to either get some signage added in English, or provide a translated handout of instructions/hotel map at check-in.  I think quite easy to get done.

The spa area, accessed from 7th floor, is set over two floors and is very large.  This includes two saunas, steam room and inside and outside hot and cooler baths.  Due to the size of it, it never seemed busy with not many people in the facilities at a time.  The spa is by far the best thing about this property.  I really enjoyed it and found it very relaxing.

Whilst the spa area felt very clean, this was not the case for the actual capsules.  People smoke at the end of the small corridor by the capsules which inevitably results in everything smelling of stale smoke. 

The capsule itself was a reasonable size with a curtain at the entrance for privacy.  It appears quite old.  There is an alarm clock as well as one power socket.  The main thing I didn’t like, apart from the smell of smoke, was the many hairs on the mattress from previous guests!  There is really no excuse for this not to be cleaned properly.

There was no free wifi from the hotel.  Instead, I connected to other public wifi facilities, but even these could not be accessed whilst in the capsule.

Overall, the place is very good value for money if you are looking for a budget stay, with a really nice spa area, but the poor cleaning and lack of ‘foreigner friendly’ guidance/signage would probably mean that I wouldn’t recommend this place for non-Japanese speaking or reading visitors unless you are confident in doing your own thing and exploring.
