Great hotel for the price. Marriot hotels are usually very good although some are dated and need refurbishments. This hotel is brand new and it was a pleasure staying here. It’s a 100m walk to the Nija station which is plugged into the JR network and the subways. A five to ten minute train ride into Kyoto which costs around 300 yen per person one way. We did laundry in their washroom which cost us 800 yen for the load plus another 100 yen for another 30 mins of drying time. The washing machines are locked with code you choose so it’s a set and forget. Lots of places to eat close by, they have some decent dinners at their restaurant but the choice is a bit limited. Breakfast was good again a little limited for western choice but more than enough to load up for a days sightseeing. Recommend staying here
