B&B La casa di g.g.

We've booked a B&B room here some years ago because we wanted to explore the area of southern Le Marche. Places like Ascoli Piceno, Offida, Ripratansone and Grottamare are well in driving distance. The border of Abruzzo isn't far either and it's not a far drive to Castellucio in Umbria where you'll the the Piano Grande famous for its lentils. Especially in summer this is a must see place. Fields full of beautiful colorful flowers. The first time we've visited this area was in September and there were no flowers then. Even then the place was worth a visit but we decided to go back in summer 2 years later especially to see the flowers. It was well worth it. You can also visit Norcia nearby the Piano Grande in Umbria. The owners of this B&B (who live in the house as well) aren't Italian but Dutch however let this not scare you off because they are lovely and very hospital people. They will do anything for you to make your stay a pleasant one. One night we went out for dinner at the Osteria in the local town of Monteprandone. Outside it started to rain which we hadn't noticed because we had been sitting inside. Suddenly the owner of the B&B stood next to us to let us know that he came to pick us up so that we didn't had to walk back through the rain. He left and went to the bar next door and waited there for us until we'd finished our dinner. I have never experienced something like that before. The room is spacious and has a very good shower. The breakfast is continental and offers plenty of choice. If you require something special you just have to ask and they will get it for you the next day if they don't already have it in store. There is a swimming pool with sunbeds around it. The view from the terras is breathtakingly beautiful. One negative point about the room is the lack of an airconditioning. There is also no TV in the room but I personally did not mind. A beach can be found at San Benedetto del Tronto which is about a 10 minutes drive. Dinner posibilities can be found either in the town of Monteprandone (I recommend the local Osteria) or in San Benedetto del Tronto where you can find plenty of choice especially at the boulevard at the beach side. We have stayed here 3 times now and this is the first time we have ever been back to the same accommodation more than once, which is a big thing for us I can assure you. That is why I would like to recommend this place to anyone because this place is such a gem.
