We recently had the chance to spend three nights in Greve in Chianti living like locals at Pian Del Gallo. Our hosts, Ettore and Bea, did everything they could to make us feel like family. We enjoyed a wine tasting, cooking classes and slept in the adjoining apartments which are in a converted horse stable. The accommodations, while not luxurious, are comfortable and in keeping with the agricultural nature of the location. Beware, if you are looking to be pampered, you will not enjoy staying here, though, you will love the wine and should still visit. We don’t mind being treated like family or driving into the village to buy what we need. For us, it was a memorable visit to Tuscany that we will likely repeat.
