Aurora Appartments are a good place to stay. It was affordable and well placed. Loved to satay there with my friends and colleages. Good place to see the town. Good service. It's really near public transportation.

We stayed here Nov 2016 so this is a crazy late review though I wanted to add it as we were very impressed with the apartment.  All of the furnishings are compact though very modern and the apartment felt spacious. Everything was very clean and well maintained. 
The location is great as it is on the street adjacent to to the main hub of bars and restaurants (no noise at night). 
We were lucky to have a high floor with a view over to snow capped mountains (though beware there is no lift so you may request a lower floor if carrying cases up would be a concern). We used Fly Bus for the airport transfer which was easy to use.

Modern apartments in a great location.

Fantastic solution in the center of Reykjavik! Modern and spacious apartments with all the comforts and super accessories. Large living room with sofa and table with four seats, kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, sink, coffee machine complete with cellar. Very comfortable bed with very clean underwear and warm plumage in doca feathers. Bathroom with shower, hair dryer, towels and body products. Located in the center in a very convenient area at the level of premises, shops, supermarkets, transport, etc. Absolutely recommended even for families!

We couldn't have made a better choice!

We stayed at the apartments Aurora, this was a 3 level apartment building on the main st in Reykjavik. the view is pretty much ocean front with a bit of the street, comes with 2 beds and pull out couch, kitchen and living room. nice to buy some food at the grocery store and cook breakfast and have snacks to save a bit of money. This place was clean and cozy, although, a little more information on check in would have been ideal. There was a mix up with our rooms as we didn't get the right room assigned, but they figured it out a few hrs later. literally a 5 minute walk on the main drag to a ton of great restaurants, bars and shops. I recommend hitting the grocery store behind the apartment to save some money on food and drinks

Great Location for the Price

My wife and two boys stayed here for a few nights to celebrate NYE in Reykjavík. We are so glad we booked to stay here. 

Prior to arrival (in the months leading to our trip) we were delighted with email correspondence. Inga, whenever we had a question, would always reply promptly and was very helpful with tips on parking, things to do etc. 

Upon arrival check in was easy as we had received instructions beforehand. There is ample parking nearby as there is street parking and a multi-storey (called Vitagorg) literally over the road. We know Iceland is expensive but the parking was reasonable to be honest. 

Location is great - a short walk to Hallgrímskirkja, the Sun Voyager and other nearby places to eat etc. We were attending a concert (Icelandic band called Sigur Rós) on the 30th and Harpa, the concert hall, was a short walk from our apartment. It’s a great location and we’d stay here again. 

The apartment itself was tidy and had enough for us as a family of four: television, pots and pans, an oven, microwave, brew facilities and tea bags, fridge (no freezer unfortunately) etc. so we were able to homecook a few meals. There is a supermarket literally around the corner. 

The bed was comfy and overall the room was great. The only small niggle was the window in or bedroom wouldn’t fully seal so was open the smallest of cracks. This wouldn’t normally have been an issue but with the fireworks still going off at 3am on New Year’s Eve/Day, we had to wedge it shut. Other than that a great stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for us 

My husband and I and our 2 teenage sons stayed 3 nights recently.

For a family of 4, this was a cheaper option than paying for 2 rooms in a hotel.

Comfortable stay - apartment is as per pix shown in the website. We had a 1 bedroom apartment on the 1st floor, with our sons sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room. Quiet  and the balcony was a nice feature.

Check-in was smooth (no hiccup with entry code or card) and nice that the room was ready when we arrived before check-in time.  

Location was convenient, with a supermarket 2 mins' walk round the corner, bakeries and cafes nearby. Pick-up and drop-off point for tours was 5 mins' walk away.

Coffee and tea sachets had also been thoughtfully provided. 

Property management (Inga) was very responsive and helpful with queries throughout, including re-booking (we had initially cancelled 1 night then decided not to go on a 1 night tour outside Reykjavik).


Good value for a family of 4

The kitchen has all the utensils. The bathroom is a little small and a toilet for up to 8 people is quite small. The city centre is within walking distance. The car can be placed around the corner in the parking lot. Unfortunately there is no garbage disposal.
