I stayed 3 nights in this hotel and I would say that some things can be improve.
-the Wi-Fi at the 3rd floor is not receving
-the moquet in the room can be more clean
-the minibar should have also something to eat
In general, the brekfast in quite okay and the restaurant can improve the way to take the orders. 

Can be better

Hungarian 3 star hotel, small rooms no German TV only Hungarian.., breakfast goes like this, for 69.- € much too expensive location although top, but in the evening hotel bar closed as well as the restaurant bed very narrow and mattress through

My family and I stayed at the Arany Barany for 2 nights. When we were trying to book there seemed to be limited options and we were a little hesitant to book at the Arany Barany due to the not so complimentary reviews. We were fortunately very surprised! While this hotel is somewhat old and perhaps outdated in some areas, we had a very nice stay. The front desk staff were awesome and spoke very good English which made life easier for us. The breakfast was ok (nothing special), unfortunately the lady serving in the restaurant could not speak English and we know no Hungarian which meant there were a few issues when trying to order bacon and eggs but we got by. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable and while the air conditioning  didn’t cool the whole unit they brought us a fan promptly when requested. The bathroom was lovely with a double vanity it seemed to be updated . Overall we had a good experience and I would definitely stay there again.

Family Hotel Stay 

I came back to this hotel after a few months and I honestly noticed little cleanliness and little attention to detail. A little dust all over the room, hair on the sheets and a brown stain on the sheets. We also came back after dinner to my room and my TV, my colleague's TV, was clearly visible. As guests of our client, we didn't have any complaints at the time, but I thought it was appropriate to report the above.

Poor cleaning

Booked this one because it was the only option. Felt like trip in 1976 - rooms with a standard lock-and-key, furnishing from the 60s, breakfast poor, bathroom to be quickly forgotten. Only good thing was the bed actually - I've had quite good sleep. Good thing was I had to be there for only one night.
This place needs complete overhal. To be avoided if possible.

Dreadful but only option

Mediocre hotels, no rooms, poor breakfast, if you can go somewhere else, even if in zalaegsberg it's a bit of a natural choice, rooms a little old-fashioned, there's a wellness service but you pay for it, and you'll have to pay for it.

Mediocre

Stayed here with work trip. Quite a basic hotel but not much choice available in Zalaegerzag. Rooms are dated and beds uncomfortable. Small sachet of shower gel was only toiletries- bring your own soap! 

However room was clean and secure. 

Restaurant was not great, best to go elsewhere I would suggest.

This hotel need to be refreshing 
Specialy the beds must be changed for comfortable furniture. That will make this place a nice hôtel to stay.
The personal is really amiable 
The restaurant is good but it can be improved a little bit. 
I will go to stay in this place certainly. 

Hold style 

Hotel looks good from the outside but the bedrooms are quite basic. Beds not so comfortable and decor quite dated. Hotel is on the corner of a busy street and directly above McDonalds so is quite noisy. Bathroom not fully clean and towels were thread bare. Breakfast was basic and very busy. Rooms were hot

Ok for a short stay in a town with little choice

The best hotel in Zalaegerszeg. I don't want to say that the hotel is down. It's just a hint of communism stuck. Starting from the waiter in the restaurant to the furnishing of the rooms. The rooms were clean, the thick red carpet didn't smell unpleasant! For one night really okay. Breakfast great. Restaurant you can avoid.
