Lovely hotel, quality services ⛱️🌞🕶️☀️😎🏰
We spent a week in the hotel with my wife and our 5.5-year-old son, who is always on the move, and we had a great time.
We were given a comfortably furnished room on the first floor, both the room and the common areas were very clean during all eight days.
The staff were without exception very helpful, friendly and hospitable, and our requests were met immediately.
The restaurant service was perfect👏, we were very satisfied with both the quality and the selection. Thanks to the restaurant's employees and special thanks to the restaurant's director, "Bácsi Géza Farkas", who heaped attention on our son Vencel. (Black cookies and other little things😋)
Special mention and thanks must be given to the teachers and child supervisors working at the Csigakert Playhouse ❤️ (Aunt Ildikó, Aunt Adri, Aunt Zsófi, Aunt Hajni and Momo :). Great, meaningful crafts and children's programs were organized. My son spent every afternoon in the Playhouse, he couldn't miss an afternoon. 😀
The wellness department is also very pleasant and spotlessly clean.
We will come back here!

Lovely hotel, quality services 

This is the third time I've been there. I like the great kitchen and the comfortable room. The greatest of all is the location on the bank of the Élő csatorna, a small channel across the town. The staff is friendly and helpful, meals are very good. 

Excellent hotel in a beautiful little town

Where do I start. Not a 4 star hotel. Lucky to be 3 stars. Hotel nice and clean reception was friendly and informative. Hotel room was clean but was very cold . Bathroom was the warmest room has we put radiator on full blast . Shower are was big a area . But shower itself was useless no power at all . Should be at least a power shower. 
Spa area was ok . Pool water was a bit cold for me has you could not swim in it. Suna was fantastic. Steam room was rubbish not much steam and was cold in there . 
Now to the restaurant and food . On entrance to restaurant no good morning or afternoon just room number. Think the restaurant manager was not very good. Never spoke to anyone. If you order a drink would order a double round has they charged 15 percent service charge. Guess that’s why waiting staff did really speak has they don’t need to work for a tip . Food itself was shocking worse food I have seen. My mother in law food his a lot better standard. Even my Hungarian family said food was very basic . If I stay there again would be on bed and breakfast only . Has location his very good. Sorry but they need to address the problem with the restaurant manager and so called chefs

Not a four star hotel lucky to be a three star

We book an apartment since we travel as family of 4. The rooms and bathroom were big, clean, even the kids received bathrobes, enough towels. The spa center is ok for the purpose however a bit small. The food was not that various but freshly cooked and tasty. The whole personel was very kind and happy to help. Great idea and Congrats to the  management for it - they allowed us to use the robes and towels in the public bath which is just across the street from the hotel. The only minus thing for us was the sofa bed- very uncomfortable.

Great hotel for a few days of relax

I was in this hotel for the second time. The room is very spacious on the floor with carpet and a spacious balloon with clothes dryer. The room was cleaned every day with the possibility of changing towels and bathrobes whenever needed. The difference from the first time I was there was that the food was not as varied as last time.

Visit to Wellness Hotel

wellness Hotel Gyula is a very great hotel.  The rooms are very clean and comfortable .  The  staff is very welcoming and helpful . The food in  dinning room is very tasty  the pool are  amazing and joyful

The best hotel 

The hotel is excellent for families with small children: it has a huge indoor playground where we did nit have to pay any fee even for supervision if the kids.

We stayed in the junior suite which is quite spacious for families. 50 m2 was more than enough with 2 kids. The beds were not the best I believe it is time to replace the worn matresses. Otherwise the rooms were quite and clean.

The staff was always friendly and helpful and really kind to children.

Meals are a weak point of the place. Lunch is bearly edible, very poor selection which even runs out by the end of lunch time. Breakfast is OK, be prepared that for a decent coffee you need to pay extra as the standard is only nescafe from a machine, but the price is OK. Personally I get upset when glasses for morning juices and water is only 100 ml. I get the feeling that I am getting ripped off. For lunch and dinner drinks are not included you need to calculcate with that in advance. Dinner was usually OK, we could always find something that we liked but is is not something extraordinary. There were no gluten free options, on request there was lactose free milk.

Internet coverage is fast in the whole building.

The wellness section is not big, just sufficient to survive a half day there in case it is raining outside. However the massage in the hotel is excellent quality, highly recommended.

The hotel has excellent location: close to city center on foot, the castle beach is 10 meters away. The underground parking lot is spacious and we could even charge our electric car there.

Excellent for families

We were there with an 11 months old girl for 5 days.
The check in was easy, we were arriving at 1PM so there we could pack our baggages into our room and go straigth to the lunch then. We asked for parking cards also which I have requested from the next day as I already paid for that day's parking fee. 

While consuming the lunch I was thinking that we were about late and the people already ate the better food hours earlier. This was a mistake which I realized the next day. The food is barely 2 out of 5 stars. It's similar to mensa food in elementary schools but much pricier.
The lunch was the worst part of the food options I have to say that. At dinner it was better with more options but still very few meals were tasty. The breakfast was better for me and I was trying to eat more breakfast then after the second day because of the following lunch quality. I have to tell that only breakfast comes with drinks included, at lunch and dinner you could drink only if you order from the waiters. I found it very expensive and the worst thing is that on the menu it says prices are serving fee included but when you pay at the end they count the service fee to that price again. So we decided to drink as little as possible after realizing this.

Room: What would I expect from a hotel which advertises itself as child friendly? I would expect that there are no sharp elements in the room like the glass table and a really really unstable designer standing lamp. Babies tend to crawl on the ground so I would expected cleaning under the table not just what is visible for grown up viewpoints.

I really hate that the hotel puts smoking prohibited signs in the rooms and common areas but did not care about if it's not followed. We had to close the door all the time because our next to door neighbors and under our apartment neibors were smoking everyday. Really a bad experience. It was the same for the wellness area. Its door was frequently opened because people were going to smoke cigarettes there.

Wellness area:

Child pool was good temperature but the fact that there was another pool on top of that one but for adults made it less appealing because of frequent spilled water from 3 meters above. 
The other issue was a bigger problem and related to the cleaning lady in the wellness area. There was a public toilet near the poolside which has been "cleaned" few times when we were near the pool. The lady did not clean it just signed the paper to indicate it's cleaned. Also there was once when she went in and wiped the whole area with the same clothes after cleaning the toilet seat. It took 2 minutes overall and she seemed not caring about who can see her 'work quality' as she was doing it with doors full open.

I do not recommend this place. It's expensive and not qualify for tha standard they think they are.

Disappointed family vacation with a baby

The hotel is in a city center next to a water park. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and saunas so you can easily relax there. The staff was very nice and friendly and of course helpful. We had an amazing massage there in the wellness. The room where we were was clean. There was a TV, mini bar, mini safe everything we need. I think the bathroom was great, very nice and clean also. There was a play room with some arcade machine, a lobby bar and from the lobby you can enter to Körös Garden pub where you can have some drinks and play billiard or darts. The meals were delicious (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and we had many options to choose what we want to try. We had a wonderful time there.

Great hotel for a holiday

This hotel is perfect for families. Nice location at the heart of the town. Good value for money. Helpful staff.
