We were cyclists at the Ruhrtalradweg station at the Hotel Haus Ruhrbrücke. There you are well-versed in biking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room - bright and clean - was nice to us and the street didn't disturb sleep. The breakfast buffet offered everything we wanted. We would love to come back.

Rest in Fröndenberg

We were on the road with 4 adults and one infant on the Ruhrtalradweg. First, we arrived at the Hotel Haus Ruhrbrücke in Fröndenberg on 04.05.2022 on the basis of the personal recommendation of a local who happened to meet us and spoke to us. A super recommendation, as turned out afterwards. We were on the road with 4 adults and one infant. We also wanted to spend a lot of time in the Ruhrtalradweg. First, we were given a 4-bedroom on the rooftop of the hotel Haus Ruhrbrücke in Fröndenberg, which was actually two double rooms with two bathrooms.

Twice arrived on the bike and found spacious and very clean rooms, good food and excellent service

We took the wheels in one of the garages as we were cycling quarters. We were able to put the wheels in one of the garages dry and safe. Top! Our clean room was nothing special, but the beds were very comfortable. At night it was very quiet, and thanks to the rolls it was still dark after sunrise. So uninterrupted sleep is guaranteed. The staff of the hotel and the restaurant were always very nice, humorous and friendly. Even though it was very stressful for many guests, it didn't change anything. We noticed that! We didn't like the concept very well in the restaurant and at breakfast. Between the tables there is not enough recipe, so you can also sit down and eat a small breakfast, but there is a shortage of 1.5m of strangers. Since there is a requirement to wear a mask, of course, there is no risk that you can stay in the restaurant at the same time. Even if you want to stay in the same room as the other people, the buffet is not as small as possible. If you want to stay in the restaurant, the buffet is only 1.5m.

Hotel fine, Corona concept defective

The check-in was easy. Everyone was friendly but helpful but not intrusive. The good kitchen and the breakfast buffet left us with no wishes open. Traffic-friendly, of course, main street in front of the door. We didn't notice anything about it in the room. Sundays with church bells, OK for us. Beautiful terrace and beer garden. Small children's playground.

Spontaneous room searches.

We stayed overnight on the Ruhrtalradweg.The hotel with the restaurant made a good impression.We were greeted by a young man who was incredibly nice.We had no reservations.The rooms were on the second floor and were very simple but clean.After we had carried the luggage to the room,we went to the restaurant to have a drink.A very nice conversation with the young man.In the evening the table was ordered (recommended, staffed).The food was even better.A nice restaurant and beer garden.We also had nice conversation with other cyclists.The wheels were accommodated.By the way, we did not sleep so well, as well as the main street) and (in the early morning) 38 degrees.

Rural cycleway

The Haus Ruhrbrücke is an affordable, solid hotel for business travel with sufficient comfort. My room was equipped with a comfortable double bed, spacious toilet with shower, cupboard, dressing room, desk and a relatively large flat-screen TV, where even the HD transmitters were arranged so that you could find ARD and ZDF instantly. The hotel has basically breakfast included, the staff is very friendly!

Solides Hotel in the Sauerland

Stayed for 3 nights as part of a large group visiting for a reunion, booked for us but had been before for a bbq. The downstairs bar, eating area and outside areas are all very nice and well presented but the rooms could do with a fair amount of tlc and modernisation, our bathroom was 'across the hall' and a bit of a pain in the night especially when trying not to disturb other guests with the dodgy old lock. On the whole we had a comfortable stay and the breakfast was great, for the price it was ok but if returning to the area I would try somewhere else. Special thanks to the staff for putting our bratties in their freezer for our return and no the one's from aldi/ Lidl are not the same!!

Rooms a little dated

A traditional hotel, Very clean and tidy, large double room, on suite bathroom with great shower. Lovely breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff, highly recommend. Lovely location near to Menden, nice walks along the river, close to train station too.

A cracking three night stay.

DZ with breakfast for 72 euros. The bicycles are parked in a locked garage. Our room was older and unused. Everything was clean, including the shower. The surroundings are relatively noisy, but at night it was quiet enough. The staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast was okay.

Thursday is Schnitzel Day. Good food, lots of choice, even with delicious dessert, and still very cheap. The right one after a long tour stage on the Ruhr Valley cycle path.
