Guest House Opéra - Grands Boulevards

Around 25 minutes walk from the Eurostar station you will not find this B&B without Google maps or a local taxi driver. There is no sign on this obscure doorway but it is next to a restaurant. Make sure you ring first as requested. Once you have found the location you have another challenge. To access your room through a private residence you have to climb two floors up a steel spiral staircase. Don't let either put you off as the owner will help with your luggage and it will all prove worth the effort. The quirky room is decorated in an opera theme, with a comfy bed, small bathroom and separate toilet. The shower is ok and the WiFi excellent. There is an Espresso coffee machine, microwave, fridge and safe in the room. The TV is all French except for news channels. The room has a bare timber floor, ok storage and good a/c. There is a small patio overlooking the lane-way. Breakfast is hamper style and includes bread, yogurt, fruit and eggs. Good location with supermarkets, restaurants and a metro station nearby. Some foot traffic noise from the unit above. Accept the challenge it is worth it.
