Maytenus is a great place to stay. Paty (the owner) is really nice and made us feel welcome. Our room was clean, big and had a good supply of drinking water. I would use Maytenus again. Thanks Paty :)  

What a wonderful place to spend our first 4 days in the Galapagos. Patricia and he sons (?) made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The breakfast is simple and satisfying just what we needed for a day of scuba diving. We requested breakfast at 6:30am so we could eat before getting picked up at 7:00am. And Patricia had it all ready for us. The B&B was off the beaten track and maybe a 15 minute walk to the heart of the downtown ocean front walk. Such a quiet and relaxing time. Highly recommend.

Patricia and Washington are simply wonderful hosts. The accommodation was sparkling clean, well equipped and so comfortable. We looked forward to returning to our lodging every evening. The service was exceptional - the way we were treated during the reservation process, the personal attention before and during our stay, the efficient operation, the advice and assistance about activities and the cleaning/replenishment of supplies were all of the highest level. I would strongly recommend a stay at Matenus.

We really enjoyed our stay at Maytenus and highly recommend this place. Patricia and Washington are great hosts, always helpful and plenty of advise. Location is great, quite but all in walking distance.

The apartment was clean, comfortable, AC was working very well, and there was water provided. Kitchen was good for cooking. The location was very convenient to all we needed in Puerto Ayora. The hostess was very gracious! We cannot wait to return here again some day.

We were so happy with our room at this b&b. It was spacious, clean and quiet. The owners were so gracious, and accommodating. Breakfast could not have been any better. The home is easy walking distance to the main town/street, yet just far enough away not to be bothered by night life or street noise.

Blue House Galapagos is a short walk from the main street in town, and the woman who runs the hotel couldn't be nicer. The apartments are spacious and clean, and when the A/C runs at night it makes sleeping very comfortable. The breakfasts weren't outstanding (just some fruit, bread and instant coffee) and the WiFi was quite slow, but otherwise I felt like I had a wonderful stay at Blue House Galapagos.

This is the place to book in puerto Ayora if you are looking for an affordable place whilst having 5 star hotel service and feel. Check in and check out is fast. The owners are such lovely people and take care of every need. The apartment is top notch very comfortable place to sleep in. Jacuzzi is a great feature specially in the cold months. Breakfast was good and they do box breakfast if you hace ferry or excursion. Highly recommended. Gracias por todo! 

We traveled as a family and had two suites- the 3-bedroom/1.5 bathroom two story 2nd floor unit and the ground floor one.  The upper floor suite is cooled by breeze (having windows on opposite walls) and the ground floor one is air conditioned.  Both are very clean and well equipped.  The floor/wall finishes may be not to everyone's liking but the overall feel is great- beds are very  comfortable, linens are of good quality and the vibe is very positive.  Proprietors are great people who provide amazing top notch customer service!!! 
The location is very convenient to the heart of downtown, the Darwin station and a small swimable beach (located on the way to the Darwin station).  The immediate neighborhood is a mix between residential and small hotels.  It felt very safe.   We really enjoyed our stay!

The moment I arrived here I realised why it had such great reviews! They were so welcoming. I wish I had booked for longer here. Everyone was so friendly and I loved the apartment that I was in which I thought was excellent value for money. It had some nice authentic local art and design and and also a few little christmas ornaments which I thought was a nice little touch. I loved the fact that there was a huge bottle of drinking water in the room. There shower space was big and the shower hot and powerful. Plenty of TV channels and working air con. Excellent kitchen facilities with ample provisions. The bed was big and very comfortable. The wifi was not fantastic in the room but it was only necessary to step outside the door into the beautiful outside communal area for good reception. Breakfast was typical of the islands and so nothing special but the dining area was delightful.
For some, the location may be an issue as it is a good 10/15 minute walk from the hotel into the town unless taking a taxi and spending a whole $1! Personally , I liked that it was set a little bit away from the main town area. There were no noise issues at all. I actually felt sad to leave this place.

Nice and Affordable Apartments

Three adults stayed in an upstairs 3 bedroom apartment for 5 days in February. Patricia is a lovely host and kept the apartment very clean. She served us a nice breakfast each morning on a pretty covered patio. Blue House is located a bit off the main street in an area that has other small hotels and is otherwise residential. It is a 5+minute walk to the road (Charles Darwin) and another 5+ to get to the dock area. We did not mind this but some might. There are taxis (white pickups) everywhere however, and they are cheap. 
The apartment had AC only in two of the bedrooms and was otherwise muggy in February. But if you think you are not going to be sticky and hot in the Galapagos in February, go elsewhere. There was a kitchen in our apartment in OK shape. However, one would be hard-pressed to actually cook as there were no basics beyond salt and pepper. There was the minimum for dishes. We did make popcorn, and eggs and the full sized fridge was a bonus. The bathroom always had enough hot water. There is a nice area off the back of the apartment to hang wet items which we found very useful. All in all this palace is a very good value as the apartment is quite large if a bit tired. Spotty WiFi is available. We do not speak any Spanish but this was not a hindrance as Patricia's english is decent.
