I was with my girlfriend in March, we had a great time, the Vip rooms are very nice and thematic.We are very grateful for the attention given by Ricardo was helping us at all times.We feel at home!!Andres and Mariana!!

Yes, in fact, it's all two-sided there's old little rooms and modern big ones then at double price most of the time but in both categories nothing is going on and you don't meet anyone else friendly staff but it's not cleaned or otherwise cared about the frame conditions that's highly worthy of improvement is only full on the weekends - like everything else in Montanita

We booked one night here at the beginning of our stay in Montanita since I had reserved our intended hotel one day later and it was not available when we arrived.  It was the most affordable option given the circumstances and for $40 total I won't complain too much.  Honestly we did not experience to much of the place since we arrived late and proceeded to our intended hotel first thing in the morning.  We had a room in the main building.  It served it's purpose.  But it was not as clean as I would have preferred.  The beds were clean as far as I could tell but the rest of the room was quite dirty.  Also the window would not shut all of the way, allowing bugs to enter.  Also there was not any hot water, it was just warm enough to shower, but I soon realized that this was common in Montanita.  The young man who checked us in was very nice.  Overall good value, good location if you want to get away from the constant loud music of the town center and don't mind walking, but some better attention to cleaning is needed.

Affordable and relatively quiet for Montanita. Not the cleanest.

The kitchen was a disgusting place, with cockroaches nesting in the drawers. the grease in all the spaces in the kitchen was thick. after a heavy rain, our room was flooded with 5 cm of water, which caused us to lose many items and all our clothes and backpacks that were on the floor, as they have no closet, only 1 chair and a furniture for an old TV that doesn't work. This is the law of the beach and the center.

It was a horrible experience.

We're going to this hotel over 3 years ago,first this is a few blocks from the beach,which makes it quiet when it's time to relax,let's remember that Montañitas is a nice place,but with a lot of energy and youth.This hotel is one of the favorites,for the quality of care and service that,for a low cost,we spend a few Fantastic Days.Clean are always willing to serve in the best way.Located in an easy and safe strategic point.If you miss something, be it the time in charge.This Dispensary is also very important, alongside natural gas stores and warehouses or dispensaries that serve you for hours.Attention is important when arriving at an unknown place,like safety.I recommend not receiving the price,not just the people who are in charge.

The hostel is spectacular and outstanding as it caters to the staff, especially Ricky, very kind!!! Really the location is good and the hostel enchant me!

A great stay!!

We stayed here for about one week. The place is great with a large garden, a barbeque and a big kitchen. Easy access to the beach but not to close to be noisy. Just the perfect amount of everything. I recommend.

Great place with lots of stuff

So a neighbor explains to me that the manager is gone, but he'll be back. He'll be back in half an hour, and he gives us a room for two, while we're 2 + 1. First, the hotel's direction is not indicated from the via del spondylus. Parking in front of the dirty house, with dog crutches. Worse than in Paris.

It's super decent, but very poorly maintained.

I made a family trip in a state of pregnancy with my partner and my 9-year-old daughter. the place is beautiful, comfortable, clean, set in a lush landscape, close to a laundry stand. It is not very economical compared to other accommodations near the beach, but in general it was a good experience.

Rest and tranquility.

Pop House is first off a unique and affordable hostel.  Individual cabinas are set into the deep vegetation, hammocks are strewn about to serve any sudden attacks of tranquilidad, and Diego is a gracious host.  One of the attractions here for those staying in other hostels in the area is the backwoods launderette.  Diego's wife mans (or, womans) the remote little laundry, with puppies, chickens, wild parakeets, a beer or two, a hammock off to the side, Diego's wife, a guest or two with a couple of beers, and laundry day turns into a Ecuadoran jungle adventure.  There's a communal kitchen, a commons area, a bodega for essentials, and . . . tranquilidad !
