Had an excellent stay at this hotel! Lovely check-in/reception area with friendly, helpful staff. When they realised my friend and I had separate bookings but were travelling together, they made sure we had rooms next to us with an adjoining door which worked out perfectly so we could have a chit chat without leaving our rooms! The room was simple, but had everything needed. At first I thought the pillow was tiny but then read there was an extra pillow & duvet in the drawer under the end. Everything in the drawer was wrapped and sealed, it wasn’t just randomly in there! I did need the extra pillow, mainly because I fidget and roll over and would have fallen off the pillow here it’s more square-shaped. I found the bed really comfortable, and the air conditioning worked really well. I’m not convinced two people would stay in that bed comfortably - one side is up against the wall. It may well have been a ‘single occupancy’ room though. Also, if you’re sharing, the frosted/see-through bathroom may not be ideal for everyone! Again the bathroom had everything needed - shower gel, towels, everything was clean. The shower may be a little snug, as it’s sort of cylindrical. I managed fine but I think if I’d needed to have washed my hair I may have ended up with few bruises to the elbows! There was also a desk and a chair - the chair was perfect for sitting next to the adjoining door, feet up on the bed, chatting to my friend in the next room! There isn’t a wardrobe but there is a small rail with hangers. This isn’t meant to be a luxury hotel, it’s more of a business hotel in my opinion, and that was just perfect for getting my head down after a long day of travelling. The basics are all that’s needed on a short trip. Modern and minimalist. Just up the road is a convenience store, next to the bus station, and there was an IKEA directly opposite that. If you head up the stairs past the convenience store, that’s where the big shopping centre is. We walked from the hotel to the Home of Carlsberg and it took about 30 minutes. We’d also walked to the hotel from the Botanical Garden and that only took us about 45 minutes. A good stay and I’d absolutely stay there again.
