Casa La Eliana

Salento

La Casa Eliana is located around a 100m from the bus station. The Salento is so small that any location would be close to the center, but this one is not the most central. Except when handing the keys upon my arrival, I did not see any staff during my stay (I came in and out during different hours of the day). The room is quite spacious with a balcony which is nice. However the shower was too tiny, but with hot water which is appreciable. The soundproof was totally inexistant so you could hear your neighbors talking as if they were in your room, or the many klaxons (there is a parking next to the Casa), etc. The cleaning was not done everyday (one day the trash bin was not emptied even if it was full, the other day the bed was not done). One of the bed-covers was stained, which does not give a good impression about the cleanliness process. The wifi was not working well. The price was low but there are minimums, especially the cleanliness. 

The ghost house

There is no better place in Salento than Casa La Eliana. Jesus, Alejandra and the little Lian will make you feel so comfortable. Rooms are clean, so affordable and very near from bus station. If you like Indian food don't miss their curry dinners so delicious!!!

No better place in Salento

It's a pretty nice place to relax, Jesus is pretty nice, always willing to give sure directions and that help a lot on the journey, the place is very nice, clean and organized and the prices are fair, I'd definitely come back and besides, highly recommended.

Excellent service!

More than a hotel or hostel, it has that homey atmosphere, in which it feels like you're going to stay with your family, it has a large and comfortable kitchen where to prepare food, rooms with hot shower and internet, and at the best prices.

The best option to visit Salento and el Quindío!

It is a good place to stay if you visit Salento.The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and very pleasant; and, in addition, some have a beautiful view of the mountains.The people in charge of the hotel were very kind while I was there.

Beautiful, comfortable and pleasant accommodation.

Food was average. They provide Indian food, and being an Indian myself, I was craving for it. So, I made repeated attempts to visit. But, have to give it to them that they provide India food, in a place where no one can think about it, lest get it.
May be due to lack of customers or off-season due to Covid19, they don't have any thing in the menu, except Rogan Josh. 'Solo Rogan Josh disponible Senor'.
I had a dinner one evening of Rogan Josh. I found they were heating it in microwave. But it tasted okay.  Naan(Indian Bread) were not that good. Rice was damn good and seems fresh.  Had two glasses of red-wine, it was muy bien sabrosa (excellent).
Then I visited again with a day's gap, and again they told me that they have Rogan Josh only. They told me that Chicken(Pollo) dish will be available only later at night. I am not sure if it is due to Covid19 situation or because the town has so many options available for eateries all over the place, it seems they don't have much options in food. And, then I again went there one more time, and found it closed.

Average Food and Lack Of Variety

It's very nice, they're very kind, they're very flexible, they've helped me a lot with the food since I'm celiac.

Perhaps to stay in Salento.

Nice ambiance in a quiet area of town (rooster excepted). Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Clean. Two excellent showers attached to the 6-bed dorm. Attention to detail e.g. small piece of soap added to the towel. Early morning staff moves around quietly.

Kitchen facility is limited (thermos with hot water to make tea; thermos with good coffee), though whenever I had a request it was honored (e.g. boiling water to add to instant noodles). There is only one major light switch in the dorm room.

There is a restaurant on the premises (closes after 9PM).

Pleasant and comfortable

The best option quality/price in Salento, excellent care and the location is very cozy, at the hotel we were given recommendations on what to do in Salento and this saved us time and money.

It is excellent.

The hostel is run by a Spanish man who is a charmer.He treated us greatly, sought us cheap transportation to get to the nearest airport, info about the coffee farms, etc. All with a smile.We had problems with the payment (by our own fault) and were able to pay it later by transfer.Normally everyone points it greatly.Clean hostel, comfortable rooms and very well located.
