4 reviewsOK, so I returned from Medellin to Cucuta yesterday April 12, 2019 as I will be doing some more volunteering work here and decided to stay last night at the Hotel Mary. It deserves 4 stars because of the location which is directly across from the main terminal and it has good access to the airport. Be forewarned that this area is in centro so there is a lot of traffic and noise and at night some, not myself, but some people will have a difficult time with the night time sketchiness of the hotel. The price is very good and it includes a simple breakfast and free parking should you have a car. The hotel does not have air conditioning but rather a strong ceiling fan which can circulate the air and feels like your standing behind a jet engine as it is that strong, but again no air conditioning. The staff are incredibly nice. The rooms are very basic and not a little but a lot dated, again this is a bare-bones hotel. The wifi is weak in the rooms but great when your next to the front desk. Would I return and would I recommend this hotel? The only reason I would not return would be because of the lack of air conditioning but would recommend it if your tight on your budget and want a great central location.
