Petite-Riviere-Saint-Francois

This is one of the best places to stay in Charlevoix. The chalet was very clean, well equipped and had a fantastic view to the riviere and the mountain. The place was specious. We had 1 floor apartment with two bedrooms, living room and kitchen, big terrace. On our way we informed the staff we coming earlier than planned, and the chalet was ready earlier for us. There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms, but they were equipped with fans (in each), so it was just fine. Furniture and all equipment are well maintained. The house is made with a lot of taste and artistic strike. The garden is simple, but well done and clean. We've been to many places and hotels, but this one was really 10 of 10 for cleanliness. There is a swimming pool and playground at the reception location, which is a bonus, if you have kids. We definitely will come back.
Note to visitors: Prepare for nasty mosquitoes and flies.

To have 6/5 (lol) and to make everything perfect: Weak points: - Wifi a little fair. - Furniture a bit aging and some chassis openings a bit rough. - Bar lighting a little too strong to my taste (for the H120) - lack of privacy of the pool Points Strong; - Very large well decorated condo, very well equipped and very functional. - Super river view. - SUPER clean accommodation and gaming provision... - A very clean condo and comfortable bunk. - A terrace with barbecue + outdoor furniture... A super rental!!!

The hostess was super welcoming, full of advice, a small on-site troubleshooting area and ready for free sports equipment, a swimming pool, 3 jacuzzi and a free sauna.

What a wonderful discovery.

Great stay at Charlevoix Peaks. We were at chalet #9 and 9B. Everything was clean and all the dishes were complete. The view is breathtaking over the river and the mountains. Very interesting activities. The cherry on Sunday was the accessible mezzanine room with a ladder for children (omg. They loved-). There was always a pretext to go to meet them. My teenagers had the small independent studio downstairs which made them happy. Each of the chalets was pleasantly spa-). To re-design

In summary, the cottage itself is clean and well equipped. But their business practices are miserable: these people don't keep their promises, and the boss doesn't answer the customer's requests. In detail, the problem is that they say one thing on their own website, and the opposite on Bookings.com, about when to pay. They immediately withdraw the total amount from the customer's credit card, when it is announced that we pay on arrival! I only communicated with them three times without ever talking to the boss or an executive. All they told me was:  Arrange with Bookings.com! 

You are a cheat!

Our experience begins the very day we started our stay. At 3:00 p.m., we receive a text message warning us that the air conditioner is not working (A technician was called in). Note that the reservation was in the middle of July, so it was extremely hot. After a call or two, management tells us that they will do their best to resolve the situation in the next few hours. Finally, we spent three days without air conditioning. After our departure, we received a courier warning us that an additional construction fee of $325 will be charged on our credit card. We still don't know why since the cottage was in a (proper) state when we were in possession. No explanation was given to us, except that we're not going to make any more claims, we're not going to make any more claims, we're not going to make any more claims, we're not going to make any more claims, we're not going to make any more claims, and we're not going to make any more claims.

Take the time to go meet the welcoming team who are pleased to welcome you and inform about their facilities. employers are listening to our ideal needs for families and to take a break for this recharging several on-site services that are included in the chalet rental such as racket, skateboard, jacuzzi, hot chocolate, fire, clean chalet and for certain chalet animals are accepted only 10 minutes from the Massif and it is possible to make the purchase of ski tickets without going to the Massif ticket office thank you all the teams in this difficult time your work is an essential service :):):) Frederick Chalet 61

Let’s state the facts:
Les Sommets Charlevoix has a COVID refund policy.
This policy only allows a refund if rentals are prohibited or access is blocked to the region.
This policy has not changed despite a changing pandemic situation or appeals from health authorities. (Until today when they updated their website to make the policy even less accommodating)

Despite roadblocks being proposed between provincial boundaries (Ontario and Quebec ) as well as between regions in Quebec.....no refund will be given for reservations made last summer.
We are a family from Ontario that cannot, and should not, cross from Ontario into Quebec because of public health recommendations, travel restrictions and potential roadblocks (hence blocking access to the region)

Access to the region is not possible, feasible, recommended, advisable and could possibly be illegal.

We tried to be reasonable and request to simply have our reservation deferred just to be told that Les Sommets is booked solid. Check their website....they are not booked solid - the same cabin is available a few weeks later. My family, like many others has been forced to either cancel their bookings and lose their 50% deposits or pay the full amount in the hopes that they will be allowed to travel. The only glimmer of hope to receive any refund is if access to the region is blocked. The other option is to break all the rules and travel like the pandemic isn’t happening and hope there is not a road block (which there is/are) We are losing almost $1500 to do the right thing. 

After recent announcements from provincial authorities, Les Sommets has changed their website and policy in the last few hours as per photos below. (You will note the policy before and now) Please note the difference. Basically, forget accessing the region....the only way you will get you money back is if the police set up a road block 2 km away from their gates as you enter the Charlevoix region. The police are patrolling different regions to prevent travel...not necessarily that stretch of road.
Their policy is simply tone deaf to the situation and purposefully deceitful.

Please be warned. Do not book at Les Sommets. 



No refund on deposit-COVID policy!!! Travellers Be Aware!!!

After contacting the manager last week disappointed to have to cancel our travel plans to ski two years running because of COVID-19, the ignorant response that I was given is as follows:” Unfortunately, it will not be possible to either refund or change dates again. Our COVID policy are clear and only if Charlevoix region is closed by road block or if quebec gov. does not allow rentals, then a partial credit can be issued. You already changed once and there is nothing more we can do.” Unbelievable. They are crooks. Both the Quebec premier and the prime minister clearly states that people are not to travel during this time and we had two units books for 16 people and 8 different households. We have people from Ottawa, Toronto,and Kingston. As responsible Canadians, we had no choice but to cancel. Never stay here and let everyone you know to blacklist this unprofessional and unethical organization.

Never Stay Here. They refuse to return our rental $ as a result of COVID travel restrictions

Flawless and modern chalet, customer service that answers our questions and needs very quickly, charming site and incredible view, I recommend to everyone, perfect for nature lovers.
