Pousada Luz e Paz

A very short drive from Sao Paulo, you'll find Pousada Sitio Luz e Paz, a little gem in Braganca Paulista. It's the perfect place to unwind, relax, and forget about everything. Take your time to read a book, relax in the hammock or by the pool, choose one (or a few!) of the massages on offer (paid extra), spend some time on the ofuro, take a walk, watch the sunset, or simply sit on your own absorbing the beautiful views. You will be glad you did so! The inn is extremely beautiful and well taken care of, surrounded by nature, beautiful flowers and the sound of birds. There are only 7 rooms, and the hospitality by the owner (Fatima) and her staff will make you feel at home. There is no TV in the bedrooms (but seriously, would you really mind????), and the purpose of the place is to make you reconnect with yourself, unwind, find your balance. You can choose only breakfast or full board (bkf, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner), and I truly recommend full board. The place is quite isolated from the town, and to get there you need to go through a short but quite difficult drive on a dirt road full of holes (blame de mayor and the city hall for that, not the Inn!!!), so just take your time and enjoy the silence and the beautiful nature. If you don't like nature, silence or can't stay away from your soap opera or your smartphone for a weekend, do yourself a favor and choose another place. My mother has been there 3 years ago just 2 months before passing away (she was already very sick), and the place became very special to us, hence we always go back whenever possible. The treatment we got from the owner will never be forgotten.
