I had the pleasure of staying at both the hostel and the hotel owned by the same people across the road. Can't really fault either. Hotel room was clean, plumbing worked, TV, AC and quality breakfast. £25 a night can't complain. The hostel is extremely well designed and organised. Private rooms and 4 bed dorms, kitchen, plenty of bathrooms, games, relaxation areas, hammocks ... the full works. Attentive bilingual staff, clean, relaxed, friendly. A bed in the mixed dorm was £6.50 ... bargain. Only slight issue I had was the bloody dogs next door barking which is endemic in South America but annoying nethertheless.
