Wonderful and peaceful place. Nice views for sundowners. Bring your own wine and beer since they don’t sell any.

perfect place, quiet and close to the park, the cabin is well equipped, comfortable beds, enough equipment for the kitchen, it is heavenly quiet, the park is quickly accessible, we saw many animals

Excellent campsite and facilities

Highlight was birding with Stone , a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic bird guide 

The cottages and the whole campsite are very neatly and nicely kept. They are equipped with the basics needed for cooking. Having an outdoor shower was rather exotic! When you get here you really feel like you have gotten away from it all. I was glad for the air conditioning in November, and the daily room service. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the deck overlooking the floodplain. The main highlight for my husband as a birdwatcher was meeting “Stone,” a guide who took us on bird-watching walks. Stone is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.  He has a passion for birds, and it shows. In 3 days my husband was able to record 115 species of birds. We would enjoy coming back.

I stayed at Muchenje cottages for 5 nights in December 23 and had a wonderful time. Haydn is extremely helpful as are all of his staff. The cottages are well appointed with everything you need for self-catering and the beds are very comfortable. As birders, myself and my friends spent most of our time with the resident bird guide, Stone, who is an extraordinary guide and knows every bird and bird sound in the area. We had a fabulous trip and will be going back soon as 5 days was not enough. the area is rich with biodiversity as Chobe is right next door, an unspoiled paradise and Victoria Falls is a day trip.


We went for a guided walking tour with Stone in the early morning. This guy is a real luminary in his field and his incredibly knowledgeable especially about birds.
He tought us so much about the animals around and the about his Homecountry. We learned a lot and enjoyed chatting with him.

Camping and safari on the river Chobe to observe the animals. Excellent sundowns drinking a beer on the camping deck. Dinner in the garden's cottage under a superlative starry sky. Thank you very much for the wonderful hospitality

The place is a gem with a beautiful view over the Chobe river bed.
Of particular joy was a guided tour given by a young bird expert Mr Stone Mazila. He knew every bird by its call and showed us the rare finds in the area.
The camp is very well run and the pool clean.
It is definitely my choice on the chobe river if you want amenities with out the crowds of Kasane.

Muchenje has been such a pleasure . From the beginning of your booking process . The directions are very clear and helpful. The views are all equally amazing , all staff are friendly and it’s a very peaceful place .

Campsites have power which is not usual in Botswana.   also have sinks
