We’ll highly recommend Maarten’s place! The house next to the church is the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend in the French speaking part of Belgium. It’s close to all different cities like Rochefort, Dinant and Namur! Choose a hike or a relaxing walk, the B&B’s restaurant or one of the wide range of restaurants in the heart of Dinant. It’s worth a visit! Vintage furniture lovers will find their way in this neighbourhood too! Breakfast and staff are very friendly, price - quality perfect. We’ll be back soon for a next relaxing 2 or 3 days. Thanks Maarten & crew!

A nice surprise. On the way south for our summer family holiday we wanted to stop for a night in the area, to visit the grottoes in De Han (a really cool place, by the way). 
We selected Le vieux Marronniers rather randomly and we were lucky. The ancient building is nicely refurbished. The small room with the double bunk bed was the delight of our kids. We were warmly welcomed by the owner who speaks a whole lot of languages. And food was great. Besides, the nearby ancient church is well worth a visit. Absolutely recommended!

Fantastic setting, sleep & wake up to the sounds of the birds. Very nice driving routes at your doorstep, scenic forest roads with not too much traffic. 

Nice restaurant as well with good prices. Attentive service. 

Simply outstanding B&B. The room was fantastic, ideal for a family. All staff were very polite and helpful.

I normally hate hotels. Even in the best five star hotels İt's obvious that 500 other people slept in the same bed with the same pillow, showered in the same shower... This is why I never feel comfortable and also can't sleep very well in hotels. 
We are a family of four. We have two little girls. So it's very hard for us to find hotels that are clean, great located, highly rated and also have a nice family room.

Dinant was our last stop. After seven sleepless night we ended up here. I didn't have high expectations and the photos here on tripadvisor don't promise anything. But the moment we entered this little place I fell in love with the atmosphere. As the Dutch say, it was so gezellig. A friendly, warm, cosy place. It felt like home. 
After we were taken to our room we couldn't stop wondering. What a great decoration, what a great layout, oooo and the details in every corner were amazing. The room was huge.
The beds were very comfortable and very clean. I slept so deep that I forgot where I was in the morning. I almost missed the breakfast. Which would be a pity because it was very good. 
They also have a very romantic little restaurant with a fireplace. 
A great place for a weekend getaway. 


Conveniently located off the main road from Calais to the rest of Europe. Very warm welcome from the owners. Rooms were all nice although a little small. Wifi was good.

Breakfast was nice with a reasonable selection of food.

We ate in the restaurant for the evening meal and the food was all excellent.

I would say slightly pricey but I have always found  Belgium expensive.

In the small town of Foy Notre Dame (close to Dinant) there is a small B&B with a restaurant. The B&B is restored with natural materials. I visited with 3 friends and we stayed in a room that had a bunk bed. In that way we could still talk to each other. They also have rooms with just a normal 2 persons bed. 
We had dinner in their restaurant and it was very good. Especially the sabayon with Belgian Leffe Beer. One minor thing is that there are no really vegetarian dishes on the menu. But if you ask for a vegetarian meal,  then they can alter some dishes. 
Also a minor thing is that the B&B is not that accessible for wheelchairs.
