I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Marjorie 2 boat hotel. Breakfast was very good - eggs, pasties, meat and cheese - cereal, yogurt, so much to eat!!! I would highly recommend this hotel. I even extended for an extra day. The rooms are small, but very quaint. The owners are wonderful! Very nice and helpful. I requested my shower head be replaced and it was fixed immediately - so the upkeep of the hotel is very good.The boat was clean and very beautiful!

If you ever wanted to have a special place to sleep this is one of them: It is a quite big sailing boat, with 12 rooms, a bar, breakfast. The rooms are nicely made, lots of wood, but also shower etc.
The boat is still active, doing some trips per year but most time obviously fixed in Antwerp. The place is close to the MAS, a museum with free entrance to the top. Don't miss it, makes sense in evening and during day.
Besides the MAs the boat is a 15 minute walk away from the city center. Car parking around the boat is cheaper than in the city, free on Sunday (not in the city - there you always pay). So, with this boat you do not need your car at all. the 15 minutes are slow walk. Lots to see while walking any area is safe. For the evening: you can easily walk also in the evening to the center, but there are lots of restaurants also directly close to the boat, so location is really perfect.
Room was clean and felt big enough. Breakfast was really nice. Some scambled eggs and solid continental breakfast.
Overall: Perfect location, very friendly people, nice experience, big recommendation.

Very friendly staff, We arrived too early but they let us go to our room to put our stuff. The room is super.clean, Of course not very spacious (it´s a ship!). We loved the wooden decoration and the cleanliness, The ship is a historical boat and is simply perfect!. The breakfast is very complete and for us was more than enough. The lady even made fried and scrambled eggs for us!.  We felt welcomed. Additional good points: Its location. It is close to the Red Star Museum (recommended!!) and just in front of the MAS.
The only negative point is heating: Lack of an additional heater, It is cold in the room and in the bathroom. About parking: No free parking around, You risk a bill of 30€, The closest parking is 800 m away and it costs 25€ per day. Apart from these inconveniences we were very satisfied.

Lovely place to stay!

Nice experience in a perfect location

Different experience, not to miss!

The Marjorie is a barquentine, which means a three-mast sailing ship. It is in a good condition. The cabins are as far as accommodation on a ship like this goes, pretty spacey. The bathroom is well furnished and clean. Beds are nice, good to sleep in. There is no noise. Ventilation ios a bit of a problem, there is a skylight which can be openen from deck.
Staff is friendly and efficient. Breakfast is good and varied. Free parking is next to the ship, which lies next to the MAS (Museum). 
Free Wifi was available.
In the vicinity there are many restaurants and bars.

Nice place to stay in Antwerp

Beautiful boat, charming setting and surroundings (MAS, harbour, bars & restaurants). So that's a great start but then you set foot on the boat and the welcoming just isn't there ... moreover they were just rude, when asked for something you had to wait until they had time or felt like giving you something to drink or helping you out. When my daughter went for a drink she came back and asked me if she did something wrong as the lady serving her was very rude and unfriendly and made her wait for 10 min. The rooms were nice but really small and there wasn't any cooling so it was hot! A fan gave us some relief but at these prices you expect something else. Also they weren't available until late in the afternoon so we had to store all our stuff in a corner somewhere and couldn't take a shower or relax.
Everything considered i would NOT recommend this place! At these prices you can do a lot better, and unfriendly just doesn't work at any price!!
