Our room was perfectly clean, new and had everything we needed. The breakfast is excellent, there is a nice spa and the people were really friendly and helpful. The lady who seemed to be at reception most spoke great English and was very hospitable. They will arrange for skis to be hired, delivered and returned and can also help with ski school etc. As a place to hang your head, this is a great choice. Obviously this is not a hotel: there is no common area and the room we had had no view and so it is not a place you want to hang out in. It is also a walk up a steep hill so for anybody with difficulties walking it is not ideal. There is very little choice of restaurants in Obergurgl.
