A lovely little motel and welcoming host. Room was very clean and roomy, and bed very comfy. Situated on a busy road we heard NO traffic and found it to be very quiet. Great parking right outside the rooms. Definitely recommended for value.

Lovely stay

Stayed overnight.  Owner was very welcoming and the homemade biscuits on arrival were a nice touch.  Rooms were as advertised - comfortable, affordable (great value for money!) and spotlessly clean. Also, the motel is nice and close to Main Street, Mackay and large shopping centre.  Would stay again.

Great stay

We travelled to Mackay for our Grand-Daughters birthday and wanted somewhere to stay that didn't break the bank. Really it was only somewhere to sleep. We found a great price for the Bel Air. It's an older motel but very clean and the bed was so comfy. The Managers were very friendly. Given it's on the highway we expected a little noise and were pleasantly surprised to find the noise was minimal! Will defiantly stay again.

Great little stop over

Basic, clean & with accommodating managers we enjoyed a few days here.  Although on Nebo Rd, it wasn't noisy- our unit was toward the back. Pool was clean & cool.  Parking is ample. On the downside it was going to cost an extra $10 p/d for a single bed to be made up & the air conditioner was a bit noisy.  Some tissues & a bin in the bathroom would have been appreciated.

Quick business trip for Showgrounds area

Arrived exhausted so wanted no hassle. The lady at the desk was pleasant and just got down to it. No dramas. After I settled in she was kind enough to point out where to go locally to get a feed etc. There is a pool, on one of the main streets but no road noise. Easy parking immediately out front of the room. Good sized bed. Single room but scored a large bed and a single. 
One thing I was a bit miffed over - no cutlery save a teaspoon. Not thinking I purchased noodles and didn't get cutlery, so by the time I got back to the room i was not going out again. Bit of a challenge eating the dinner with a teaspoon :) oh well.

Handy to everything. Budget but comfortable.

Easy to find, off main highway, suberb parking, right outside your room.
So far the BEST bed, so comfy and an actual double not two singles pushed together
lovely welcome and great communication prior to arrival
nice cold water in fridge, thoughtful on such a hot day!
pool is under trees so expect bugs and foliage inthe water, but otherwise its clean, cool and spacious
local shops and places to eat
no food allowed in the rooms..... :(

pleasant stop over

Needed to book a room last minute as was arriving into Mackay late with the family! Sandra was great, left a key for my us fixed up in the morning. Great room for family, close to town and shops! Thanks you 

Great service 

Older style motel, run by owner operators who are also happy to have you stay. We have been coming here for over 20 years. Great value for money and excellent location. Always clean with large rooms. Highly Recommend a stay here. Pool and play area for the kids
