Spent 5 nights here great area if you want to get away, across the road from beach, walking distance to restaurant. Apartment was clean, well presented with everything you need for a peaceful stay, if you want the night-life this isn't the place for you

Great spot to stay

This spot is so good this is our second visit 👌🏻.

3 good size bedrooms for a family, including 2 double rooms, the main with an ensuite. It is set out for 6 people, but we also found an extra fold out bed in the main bedroom cupboard.

With a beach view and ground floor position, apartment 6 is ideal. It's quiet and accessible and although it's 20 or so minutes drive to the city it's not far from shops, restaurants and the busy and upmarket Palm Cove.

Each room has a ceiling fan and split air conditioner. There is plenty of linen and towels (including beach) and there is a pool on the premises. 

We found eskies, plastic cups, stroller, high chair, deck chair, kids toys and pool toys (noodles etc).

There is a full laundry with washer and dryer, an iron and ironing board and out the front under the verandah is a table for 6 and a BBQ under a handy ceiling fan.

There is no food here, but tea, coffee and sugar sachets get you started along with some dishwashing & laundry sachets.

Tips...you can walk around the corner to Coco Mojo restaurant, or order takeaway from Clifton Beach Pizza.

Only negative is the terrible internet reception but you are on holiday so deal with it 👍 

Great spot 

Spent 5 nights at these very nice apts.  Had a 2 BR apt and very much enjoyed my stay.  Did not have much of a view of the ocean from our apt as it was in the middle building on level 2.  Was disappointed a bit with the pool, as it had lots of debris in it.  Looked like it had not been cleaned in a week.  Overall however we really enjoyed our stay here.   The Apt was nice and clean, with a very nice kitchen.  The rooms were fine, but the carpet is showing signs of wear in the bedrooms.    There was plenty of hot water, and water pressure excellent.  The TV worked fine as did AC.  We only used the AC in the BRs as it was cool enough elsewhere to go without.   The apt had a washing machine and dryer.  The dryer had some problems, but it was surely nice to be able to wash while on Holiday.   The only real negative was lack of internet access at the apts.  You could get onto the internet with agricourt, but had to walk down to that building to get on.  Rates for internet varied.  I paid $20 for 5 hours worth of usage.   Would suggest adding internet, and making it part of the price of staying.  The beach was right across the uncrowded street and was very nice. Since it was NOT stinger season, was able to swim in the very pleasant ocean with no problems.  Lots of signs posted about crocs, but if you stay away from the stream inlets, you should be ok.  Seemed like alot of neighborhood work was going on during the day (while visiting) with lots of noise, jack hammers, power washers, etc, but it was very quiet during the evenings and nights and quiet enjoyable.    The price was right and overall would recommend these apts for those looking for Holiday.

Good deal for the $, but needs just a few small improvements

We stayed at the Arlington in Clifton Beach for 4 nights June 15-19, 2012.
This is a great place with 2 nice bedrooms ( 1 king and 2 twins) and 2 bathrooms.
The apartment is very clean and the location ideal being directly across the street from beautiful Clifton Beach. This is about 15 mins drive to the city of Cairns.
The managers Craig & Petra are excellent and very attentive to any issues that come up.
We only wished we had stayed longer.

Beautiful & Spacious

3 night stay March 09 - tried cram as much as possible into a 3 week trip to Australia and would recommend this area and this hotel.

As others have said - Craig and Petra very very helpful. Hotel is in a lovely setting across road from beach. Apartment very big with everything you need including dishwasher!! 

Isolated especially if you don't have a car. During a massive downpour we got a lift back from the supermarket from a very kind man in the 'liquor store'.

Swimming pool lovely and outdoor bbq area - which we didn't use due to the downpour!

Loved Green Island - loved it so much we went twice. Our first time ever snorkelling.

Loved Kuranda - went up on train and back down on skyrail. both amazing. 

Would love to go back to Arlington and stay longer.
