We stayed 3 nights as a family in #15.  It's a bit of a walk to the lake and you cannot see the lake from the cottage.  The cottage has a general kitchen/living room with a pull out couch and 2 bedrooms.  The beds and pillows seemed very old as did the couch and should be replaced.  Kitchen was not well stocked with proper pans, sufficient plates and bowls, etc.  No AC in general room.  The wall unit AC's in bedrooms are loud.  The best part of the stay was the manager Mike who was always very helpful.  Near main Lake Weirs beach area, Meredith, and easy drive into mountains. Towels not replaced or you have to pay for new towels.

Cottage 15 needs updating

My husband and I spent two nights at the Inn. We stayed in the "Boston Light" room at the end of the hall which was spacious, pretty, very clean, quiet and comfortable. The other rooms looked very inviting, as well. The breakfasts were fabulous and our hosts were most welcoming, gracious, friendly and gave us excellent advice in regard to dinner restaurants and where to rent a boat. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Pat and Mike, for making us feel right at home.

Wondeful Fall Stay

My bride and I stayed at Lighthouse Inn for two nights while on a fall colors tour.
Warm, comfortable and unpretentious. It felt like we were going for a visit at Uncle Mike's and Aunt Pat's house rather than staying at a business. Our room and bath was spacious and bright and we slept soundly. Remarkable water pressure!! We took full use of the common areas to read and plan our days. Afternoon cookies are worth the price of the entire stay and the breakfasts were the best of the entire ten day trip. The other guests that we met fell right in to the family theme. Great conversation and sharing of local adventures.

Felt Like Home

We are two British guys on a driving tour of the New England States, staying at hotels, B & B's etc. We had a one night stay with Mike & Pat at The Lighthouse and really wish we had stayed another night or two, as there is plenty to see in the area. The accommodation was as warm and friendly as the Inn Keepers. Great home made breakfast, charming hosts, comfy bed. We stayed in their 'Boon Island' room.

A great B & B

I chose this place based on the reviews in Tripadvisor. Boy was this a mistake. I attach pictures to show the run down furniture and the dirt. Not pictured, among other things, are: the terrible smell of cigarette smoke emitted from the couch pillows; mattress so thin it must have left spring imprint on my back; shaking furniture; run down silverware. On top of that, the cottages are located in a different place- not where the actual inn is. They don't tell you that until you come in. I guess that the great reviews that this place received are for the actually B&B because there's no way that the cottages are even close to satisfactory. Although, I must say that from a very short interaction I had with the owners, only the man seem to be nice, while the lady is rather cold and unwelcoming.
Bottom line- lesson learned: reviews aren't always reflective of reality...

Way below expectations 

It's been a while since we've been to Mike's (Pat was on the road at the time) - we've been there for two nights and we've felt very comfortable, Mike was incredibly forward looking and by far the best host on our trip.

Family, friendly, wonderful

Good B&B, with spacious rooms and beds, nice living room, but everything is decorated quite kitch (everything is a matter of taste).

Good address

We stayed at the Lighthouse Inn for only one night, arriving by chance! It is a beautiful place, with a very well-kept garden; the owner, Mr. Mike, is a delightful, kind and friendly person; he gave us very useful tips and suggestions! The house is warm and cozy; our room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was excellent! A place to recommend and to return to!!

A place to go back to

A very nice elderly couple welcoming guests to their private lighthouse. The guests will be offered their own living room with fireplace and reading facilities, as well as free wine. Tomorrow, a super delicious host-made American breakfast with pancakes and spices. The hosts will give tips for trips or restaurants. The bed was American soft and consisted of about three mattresses.

a pleasant and comfortable stay

We found this b&b by chance during our trip through New England and it was definitely the best place to stop. The owners Pat & Mike are absolutely fantastic! I felt like I was at home with friends. The room with private bathroom was clean and fragrant. The breakfast was great. I even had a special breakfast just for myself, because the day there was the egg rolls, i9o I don't eat eggs, I got some great blueberry pancakes. The location is perfect because outside the center and to sleep is the best. Weirs beach is less than 10 minutes' walk away. And the towns nearby are 10 minutes' drive away.
