We go down to Cape May a lot and always stay at Leithhall. Great location...walking distance to the beach, Washington street mall and local restaurants. High tea at 4:00 pm includes delicious baked goods. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay. Relaxing and gracious hosts

Stayed at Leith Hall for five days, Susan & Elan were gracious hosts, that were a pleasure to just sit and talk with, as well as some of the other guests. They are well-traveled and seemed to have some knowledge on every topic, which made for many interesting conversations.  This was an excellent place to decompress, just wish I could duplicate their porch and the tranquility it afforded my husband and I.  We had a lovely time! A shout out to the staff, especially Malena, who was attentive and kind.

Relaxing & Entertaining

We live in an English seaside town which developed in the Victorian era so were really keen to see Cape May and to stay at Leith Hall is certainly to be immersed in Victoriana.    Susan and Elan are very welcoming and knowledgeable and eager to compare notes with visitors from across the pond.   Breakfast and tea with Elan's home baked produce on the veranda is delightful.  Leith Hall is within easy walking distance of the main shopping area and the beach and seafront, together with many restaurants.

This home has a good location with respect to the beach and other venues.   The breakfast and traditional tea were excellent.  The owners welcomed and engaged all in wonderful conversation.  My room was comfy and quiet and spacious- the Turkish room!   
I like trying new places as each is different and has something more interesting or different— Leith Hall offers the best conversations with owners and delicious treats.

I read the reviews and the website, however they were inconsistent with reality  Our "suite", 2 bedrooms+sitting room as was quite tired looking:torn wallpaper, furniture in disrepair , poor housekeeping.


Elegant...Antiques...Gourmet...Really

Our host, Elon, has owned the property for 30 years.  It's time he spruced things up a bit.  The property looks "tired"...for lack of a better word.  You cannot beat the location...we could walk to everything.  This point is good because parking is so far away, it's best to just proceed on foot everywhere.  Stairs are steep and carpeting is very worn.  I most disliked the fact that breakfast is served buffet style with no place to interact with other guests.  I missed a community breakfast table.  Elon was sociable and accommodating.  If I return, I won't book this Bed and Breakfast.

Wonderful location

Very nice place only about 1 block from the beach. Awesome hosts, breakfasts, wrap around porch, amenities, afternoon drinks & snacks. Parking is about 4 blocks away in a permit lot. If you have a lot of mobility issues this may not be the place for you. Rooms are on the 2nd & 3rd floors. Lovely parlor & library too.

First time visit

We booked this b&b on a last minute trip to Cape May.  It was a pleasant surprise.  We stayed in the Maple Suite.  It was large with a separate sitting area, small bar and comfy seating.  Has its own private bath.  Also includes a parking space off street in the back of the building.  You could see the ocean from the room.  It is less than a block from the beach and 2 blocks from Washington square.  Caretaker was very accommodating with our late arrival.  We did not get to try breakfast but I’m sure it was great.  While this is not over the top luxury it is very nice, clean and comfortable.  I would definitely recommend it!  Location alone cannot be beat!

Great experience for a last minute trip

An antique pretty, with fine antique furniture from the Victorian era, with beautiful views towards a picturesque beach, excellent dining, very good treatment, very clean and decent todeo in general, it has all the amenities.

A nice place to be.

We were in the Audubon'suite' (two rooms actually with a living room and an 'open' fire - actually a gas stove). Very friendly welcome by Ethan who has traveled a lot with his wife and likes to share his experience at the 'coffee/tee party' included in the stay every afternoon. He also gives tips for tours and restaurants and also explains why BYOB is also widespread in New Jersey (so passing the Liquor Store required to have wine at the restaurant...).
