Lovely stay. Room way lovely we felt so looked after. The lady was very welcoming and took really good care of us. She went the extra mile and dealt with my dietary requirements. She made sure I had gluten free and vegetarian sausages.

Quite pleasant onsuite room, very clean. Attentative staff, very good breakfast all at a very reasonble cost

Liz and Debbie were very helpful. The room was cool, which was a Godsend in light of the hottest day ever. The bar, for breakfast, also was. We were sad the pub did not provide evening dinner, but we found lovely restaurants nearby to choose from. Very nice stay.

Pleasant and friendly, no hassle at all. Breakfast was fine and when we wanted it.

Reduced staff did not affect the great service. Clean, newly refurbished room. Very comfortable bed, excellent shower. Great full English breakfast. We love staying in pubs and this one did not disappoint.

Lovely quiet pub, very welcoming and great cider!  Room was basic but very clean. Bed comfy and shower really good. Top notch breakfast. Would absolutely stay there again.

Very enjoyable stay in a quaint old fashioned pub / B&B.Made a change from a staying in more contemporary accommodation. Good service and a warm welcome. A good location for exploring he surrounding area. Also in a peaceful location.

Great pub and hotel located in Somerset, close to the Devon border.  A great spot for those on walking holidays and looking to enjoy the countryside!   The owners and staff are wonderful and friendly and take good care of you!   The pub serves hearty dinners and a fantastic cooked breakfast.  Lovely beer garden as well out back.  The village is quiet and you’ll sleep very well!

Really good welcome as we came down a day late due to home circumstances.. had a late cooked breakfast .. very friendly landlord and landlady .. gorgeous old listed coaching inn in a tiny village ... lots of character but needed some general TLC .. bear in mind you are staying in a very old inn .. it’s not a modern pub .. I loved it .. breakfast ok and evening meals good value and tasty home cooked food .. the apple and forest fruit pic was delicious.. beautiful village and very quiet for a peaceful sleep . Would stay again

Gorgeous old coaching inn

Lovely pub in a beautiful area with great food, really friendly & welcoming landlords. Big comfortable bed and a perfectly adequate en-suite in a separate building next to the pub, so you don’t get any noise from the pub if you’re looking for an early night. Big car park and a lovely pub garden. Would definitely stay here again.

Overnight stay

Beautiful country welcome.... from the minute we walk through the doors the lady and gentlemen enquirer about our needs. They we lovely and friendly asking about our stay as we were attending a friend wedding. They asked about the wedding and took a interest in why we were visiting making our stay very personal and welcoming. The food was amazing, great tasting good honest home cooked food served piping hot with a big smile. Yes the rooms could do with a bit of updating as some reviews have stated but in reality the rooms as spotlessly clean, lovely comfortable and serviced everyday. There is no sign of a generic business hotel with everybody trained to be welcoming ... this is a hearty English hotel with a hearty welcome. prices are fabulous for staying in lovely village with Crewkerne one way and Bridport about 9miles the other way. Central to exploring the picturesque countryside. Lots of parking spaces....... and a big sleepy barn conversation to rest your weary bones. Beautiful country welcome.......

Lovely listed little pub with rooms above and parking to the rear. We stayed in the hay loft in the roof, which had an ensuite. Staff were friendly and the pub was an added bonus, we were able to order food from the bar and have a drink or two. I also recommend using Steve's cabs if you need to get around. Very professional and helpful. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.

Quaint and Cosy

As a family of four, we stayed here for one night as a stop off point to a festival in Dorset. On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome, and asked if there was anything they could get us, or we needed from the bar. We originally booked the family room, however the owners suggested a twin a double room at no extra cost due to the age of our children. Both rooms were very comfortable with enough facilities for a relaxed stay. We ate downstairs in the pub, where there is a varied menu of pub classics, all our family had something different and none of our meals disappointed. The breakfast in the morning was lovely, with cereals, toast and a full English cooked to how we wanted.

Nice location in heart of the village, nice breakfasts, but lacks wifi in at least one of the rooms (mobile reception can also be very weak in the area). Good bed mattress but the coachman's room has a poor quality construction feel to it with thin walls so the TV in adjacent room is easily audible. But in general enjoyed our stay and would recommend

The room is described as having wifi. That’s very much not the case . Either needs to be provisioned properly with an extender or described as no wifi in room. Room is in need of update and new carpet . Otherwise comfy , cosy , nice bed , decent shower .Good poached eggs on toast . Ample parking
