Love staying at the Wereham, lovely hosts and staff they cant do enough for you. the location is very good for walking out to the shops and restaurants. Rooms are lovely with comfy beds and great Tea and coffee facilities . lovely towels and bedding. 

Fantastic Stay

This is what I call a very good British B&B. Easy to book, reasonably priced, a warm welcome, comfortable and - to top it all - an excellent breakfast. 
Storage for our bikes happily provided and a stone’s throw from the centre of town

This is a great Hotel/B&B. Roela and Peter are great hosts and make you feel really welcome. I've stayed for one night each week while working in Thetford, and its a perfect base. Good car park, nice rooms. The breakfast is well worth having, just dont order too much.

I chose Wereham House for location and based on the TripAdvisor reviews. I wasn’t disappointed. Rooms absolutely pristine. The owners really care about providing a pleasant and friendly environment for their guests

Absolutely pristine

Stayed here on the way to Southwold. The room was adequate every thing you needed was there  Although a bit small. 
Paid extra for breakfast which was very very good. Too much in fact. Would recommend staying here.

One night

Traveled to thetford from Northern Ireland for a work trip on the ferry drove 7 hours to another hotel in thetford that was horrible. After leaving and panicking about a place to stay I searched online and found the Thomas Paine hotel. Called up and spoke to the owner Gez who was more than helpful and had a room available inside 5 minutes from calling Gez I was checked into the hotel and making my way to the room. I had a lovely wee cosy room with the most comfy mattress (i wanted to take it home lol) I stayed 3 nights and it was so lovely and I felt a sense of peace and ease. Hotel is lovely and independently run by Gez and his family so you really do get that personal touch. Rosy cooked the most amazing dinner possibly the best steak I’ve ever had all was presented to perfection including the brownie which topped it all off. Also shout out to gez daughter who made the most wonderful pornstar martini. They all made me feel so welcome as I was travelling and staying on my own. Hotel is a credit to the family and I can’t wait to come back to stay again. 
Thanks guys for a wonderful stay and welcome. See you all again soon!

Lovely stay

We stayed September 25th the rooms were very clean and well maintained i would recommend this hotel and the breakfast we were spoilt for choice excellent service. And would definitely stay again thankyou rolea and Peter for such friendly service

Excellent stay

The couple who run the b&b are very nice, but the rooms need decorating as very tired looking. No fresh air or air con so you roast in summer. The breakfast is very nice but should be included in price.

Tired looking and no more than 3 star

Our stay at Wereham House was very enjoyable but let down by a niggle or two. It is a large town centre building, very conveniently situated, with a large resident car park, which was very handy. The proprietors were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
The breakfast was excellent, possibly the best I have had in similar establishments - smoked bacon...hallelujah!. The toast was a revelation, I shan't say where it came from, leaving the surprise to future visitors!
Our room was small, partly due to the huge bed taking up most of the space and only allowing space for one hard chair. I found the bed very comfortable but I always take my own pillows, my wife tells me the provided pillows were hard and uncomfortable.
There was no double glazing in the bedroom but that did not cause a problem given the unseasonably warm weather. However, it did mean the old sliding casement windows rattled in the wind. A wedge had been provided for one but really every window needed one. A folded section of sandwich pack did the trick but...
The bedroom decor showed a bit of wear and looked a bit dog-eared in places, possibly because we stayed towards the end fo the season.
I think we would stay again despite the few negatives.

Great Guest House...Mainly

No twin rooms so had the family room which was extra spacious and at the front. Thus we got some noise from Saturday night revellers but not much. Beds very comfy and bathroom clean but a little mould in the shower. Tissues and toiletries supplied. Grey / white tiles not very appealing but all was in fact very clean. Nice touch being offered fresh milk on arrival and there was quality Taylors teas in the room. Wifi worked ok. Ample car park. 
I hope the hotel fashion for stacking cushions over the clean pillows passes soon. 
Will rebook when next in Thetford.
