This is my third visit to Knockiemoak Bed and Breakfast, it is a sheer delight to stay there.  Bob and Debbie go out of their way to make you welcome.  It is very much a home from home.  A hearty breakfast every morning and the rooms are of a very high standard.  It is set in the beautiful countryside but not far from Portpatrick.  I have no hesitation in recommending anyone to stay here, they will not be disappointed

I have stayed here for over 9 weeks for a work trip. I love it. It is literally a home away from home for me. The house itself is beautiful and spacious - surrounded by unspoilt greenery perfect for get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The B&B is very well maintained and welcoming with easy access and car parking. Each room is equipped with everything that you could need and good nights sleep is guaranteed! The quality of the bedding is something that you will definitely miss when you go home! The bedrooms are ensuite with a shower that has incredible shower pressure and temperature. There is also a tea station in each room with tea, coffee, sugar, as well as various extras in the hallway should you need. Bob and Debbie (the hosts) are lovely and are happy to help with anything should you need it. They are very accommodating and made my long stint away from home as smooth as it could possibly be. Couldn't ask for more.

Beautiful country setting. Beautiful home. Debbie and Bob went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast amazing.. strongly recommend. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here two nights ahead of catching the ferry from Crairnryan. Debbie and Bob gave us tips on places to visit and eat and we enjoyed using the residents' lounge when we returned of an evening. The property is immaculate, the hosts so welcoming, the gardens so beautiful it truly is an amazing place to stay and we highly recommend it.

What a wonderful welcome and superb B&B fantastic location for a lovely tranquil break and base for exploring the area, the breakfast is amazing but if you fancy something different Bob and Debbie are so accommodating! The place is immaculate and a credit to the owners, there is wild life all around the property and even a resident Hare, all in all this is brilliant B&B and can’t fault it.

Well done Bob and Debbie see you again at some point

We recently stayed 3 nights at Knockniemoak B&B and had a most comfortable, cosy and friendly weekend with the owners, Bob & Debbie.    Knockniemoak is situated about 3 miles from Portpatrick amidst lovely countryside.  A car is needed to get around.   Our room was spacious and comfortable, with en suite shower and bathroom.    There is a residents' lounge and Bob & Debbie are very welcoming and make you feel at ease.   Breakfasts were delicious and ample.
We will definitely be returning.   Would recommend.

From the moment we arrived Bob and Debbie made us feel so welcome in their beautiful home. The room was so comfortable clean and spacious with everything we needed for our break. The location is stunning, remote and away from everything so you felt like you were miles from anywhere with great views as well. Breakfast every day was excellent and nothing too much trouble. The lounge area was spacious and great to relax in of an evening. I would go back tomorrow if I could - I can't recommend this place enough it really is superb.

We stayed here for two nights and we really enjoyed our stay . The whole accommodation is immaculate with very thoughtful details   Bob and Debbie were great hosts and vey informative regarding the local area. A quiet and restful stay in superb surroundings.  We hope to return in the near future

The location was close to Stranraer and Portpatrick but felt remote - very peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was outstanding  - good quality, home made, locally sourced food and plenty of it. Especially liked the hoe made preserves. The attention to detail by the hosts was second to none - they were attentive but not "in your face". The facilities were first class, including a really good shower and strong Wi-Fi in the room. All in all, excellent value for money and a really enjoyable stay.

Simply lovely. Thoroughly recommended. 
Owners really made us feel welcome. Would go again. 
It's in beautiful setting amongst typically Scottish countryside. Stunning landscape. Coast only a short drive away.

3 Delightful days in Knockniemoak

A Wonderful Home from Home and Excellent Hosts

Fantastic location - really enjoyable break

We just left this wonderful bed-and-breakfast hosted by debbie and Bob after two lovely evenings. From the warm welcome to the goodbyes, every aspect of our stay was perfect. The end is situated among rolling farmlands. The common areas are beautifully decorated and are complete a tea and coffee tray. Both mornings we had a choice at breakfast if either a full English breakfast, excuse me Scottish breakfast, or scrambled eggs with local salmon and bagels. There was of course the cereals and fresh fruit along with coffee, tea and juices. Both Debbie and Bob are consummate hosts and the pleasure they receive in hosting is evident with the enthusiasm and friendliness. They exude.  During our stay we met delightful guests, one couple had been returning to the inn few times a year as their children live nearby. That just goes to show how lovely it is to stay with Bob and Debbie. The location is ideal for exploring the coast, specifically Portpatrick.  There is a golf course nearby that welcomes visitors and has rental clubs. There are many easy and a few more challenging walks.  If ever in this part of Scotland again we will be sure to stay here.

What a find! Stumbled across this B&B during a lengthy internet search for accommodation in Dumfries and Galloway. We were looking for top quality, contemporary accommodation and this is exactly what Knockniemoak offers.

Hosts Debbie and Bob could not be more welcoming and helpful. On arrival we were offered tea and a beautiful slice of gateau in the lovely guest lounge. Breakfast was also of high quality and delicious. There is also an option of very tasty homemade vegetarian sausage! Packed lunches can be provided on request, we did not try these but we imagine these would be equally delicious.

Rooms are beautiful and are appointed to a very high standard with great attention to detail. Tea and coffee facilities are top quality with real milk provided.

Knockniemoak is a good base for cycling. It offers secure bike storage and the quiet roads in the area are perfect for road cyclists.

We were very impressed with the local restaurants we tried, and which our hosts recommended: Henry’s Bay House in Stranraer, and Connor’s in Portpatrick.

Superb!

This was our first visit to Knockniemoak and it has been added to the must return list. Debbie and Bob are wonderful hosts in this very comfortable bed and breakfast, superbly situated for visiting gardens and enjoying the countryside full of interesting birds and animals all around. The large lounge helps guests feel at home and the breakfasts set you up very nicely for days of exploration.
