Very nice place and the hosts were awesome.

We had a lovey stay. Well looked after by the host. Robin in the morning during breakfast made it a perfect stay!

Our hosts were lovely.  Check in was easy.  Parking was inexpensive and nearby.  Breakfast was fantastic.  The town is beautiful.

Had a lovely stay. Great guest house I would visit again. Owner very welcoming and helpful to point me in the right direction to tourist attractions and shops. Room very clean and quiet. They think of everything; toiletries, in the room such as tea/coffee/biscuit, little fridge outside the room with milk and bottled water, and own private entrance. Amazing breakfast and coffee. They were happy to let me leave my luggage before check in and same offered at check out time so I could explore without the hassle of taking my case. Highly recommend

We had a lovely stay at Kirkgate House, we needed to book last minute and the hosts were accommodating and very kind. The location was excellent and we enjoyed breakfast. Knaresborough is beautiful, we would definitely visit again and stay at Kirkgate.

Very welcoming and comfortable abode. Location is perfect for town centre. Car park is close by but you have to pay for that so bring change for the meter. The cooked breakfast is a must..... well recommended.

Lovely place to stay, great breakfast, good of location and excellent hosts

Wonderful little gem, found by chance but most definitely worth it! Excellently located probably a couple of minutes walk from the town centre with all the bars and restaurants but yet on a quiet street. No parking but we have been advised where to park really economical and max 10 min slow walk! The property is clean, plenty of tea / coffee / orange cordial / biscuits on the drinks tray, nice sizable shower cabin. Cannot put this review without mentioning the fabulous quality of the breakfast, personally I really enjoyed the sausages, they were something else, very likely sourced at s local butcher rather than being supermarket bought! And the quality of the eggs was amazing, too! You will receive a sheet where you can tick what you want for next morning breakfast and what time you rather have it! We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back!

Friendly, helpful hosts, serving an excellent breakfast, in a central, convenient location.

A delightful place to stay where every detail was thought of by the owner to make our stay comfortable. The room was well equipped and spotlessly clean. We were near the market square with lots of individual shops and coffee shops.

The B&B is placed right in the town, parking is a little way so if you had a larger bag you would have to drop off first, but very cheap.The host was nice and welcoming, the room was very clean with a good drinks offer. The room was very warm intact to warm.. the shower was very slow but lots of hot water. Chooses of places to eat great with a mix of food, we went to a curry house and was very impressed $$ cost. Lots of cheaper in area. Overall I’m not sure about the price a little high, but you’re paying for the area.

Great location just minutes from the station and right in the heart of Knaresborough.  Karen and Rob are warm and welcoming and deliver an excellent breakfast! My room was spotless and with all the extras I like such as great lighting, comfy bed, proper hangers, iron and board and a really decent tea and coffee tray with fresh milk and treats.  The bathroom is well equipped too. These hosts know what guests need.  Will definitely return with my husband if we decide Knaresborough is where we should retire!

Excellent value B&B in central location with great hosts

A lovely short stay at Kirkgate House.  Karen was very welcoming, friendly and helpful.  The breakfast was fantastic.  Everything was very clean and the room was lovely, although it is a bit of a strange entrance to the rooms through the garage!Only slight downside is the water pressure, which means the shower isn't great!

As a couple we wanted to explore Knaresborough and visit mother Shiptons cave. So only stayed one night. Perfect location. What a lovely warm cozy feel our room had. We was welcomed by Rob who showed us to our room. There is a small fridge on the landing with fresh milk and water. So much better than plastic cartons of milk. We had short bread. varieties of tea and coffee, drinking chocolate, squash, and chocolate bars and mints. This was a lovely touch. I think the owners have put a lot of thought into this hotel.lots of little touches every where. Breakfast was lovely. Good quality food. We sat by the window and watched the garden birds in the court yard garden. Also was greated with a roaring fire at breakfast time.. Parking we chose was about 8 mins walk. York place £1.60 for 24 hours bargain. We unloaded and loaded our cases right outside the hotel. Wetherspoon lovers which we are. It's a good one and very close by. I highly recommend kirk gate house. 

Lots of little touches 

We booked this B&B at very short notice and must say we weren't disappointed.
Located in the heart of Knaresborough with car parking very convenient also very local to the many sights, restaurants and bars.
The hosts were very welcoming and friendly with a good sense of humour but also very attentive and proficient.

The rooms were very well equipped, we're warm and very clean. A very comfortable bed with nice duvets and comfy pillows made for a good nights sleep. Tea and coffee making facilities were available using fresh milk. The complimentary snacks were a nice touch. No road noise.

A very warm and clean shower room with good quality towels and complimentary toiletries.

For breakfast. A pre order form is requested the previous day with very good choice indeed, breakfast cereals and fresh fruit are available on the morning  but we opted for a full English and must say it was one of the best breakfasts I  have had in any accommodation, cooked to perfection and locally sourced.
Ample supplies of tea, coffee and toast if required.

There aren't enough of these little gems being preserved and this is one we will definitely be returning to.
A great place run by great people.
Can thoroughly recommend.

A really lovely place to stay Karen and Rob, the owners, can’t do enough to make your stay a relaxing experience and are very thoughtful and helpful. The house is beautifully presented and spotless. Breakfast was fantastic. There was absolutely nothing negative to say. The stay was exceptional. Thank you both.

We visited Kirkgate House for 3 nights in August and had an amazing time. The B&B is well located to explore all of Knaresborough (walking distance to the town centre, the castle, mother Shipton’s etc) and beyond due to the close proximity to the train station. The B&B itself is wonderful. The rooms are spacious and clean with tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities as well as biscuits and other goodies! The hosts, Karen and Robert, are lovely - they are kind and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Their friendly chats on a morning whilst serving breakfast were great! The breakfasts themselves are amazing with great quality produce cooked brilliantly. We couldn’t fault our stay at all and will definitely be back! 

Brilliant B&B with amazing hosts and delicious breakfast!

What an incredible place to stay!! The hosts are the friendliest, nicest people you could wish to meet. The place itself is perfect, clean and comfortable and the breakfast is to die for. Location couldn't be better and there's the added bonus of Penny the cockapoo!! Will definitely return and would recommend all day long.
