My family and I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Edinburgh City Centre for 2 nights. The Holiday Inn was nice, centrally located which meant shops were close by. Breakfast was good, beds were clean and rooms were a decent size. What made the stay exceptional was the staff service. Staff was so kind and understanding. The first night, we were left stranded in the lobby as our third party we booked with (stayforlong) made a mistake of rebooking one of our hotel rooms at another hotel in Edinburgh and did not provide accommodation as they kept saying "Our provider is currently closed". The staff at Holiday Inn, tried to help as best as they could and allowed us to stay in the lobby. Sohail, Danilo, Yanis and Robert in specific made our trip better, they tried their hardest to communicate with stayforlong, provided amenities, checked up on us and all in all just made it comfortable for us amidst the chaos. If it weren't for them, our trip would've probably been worst. I'd say that Holiday Inn Express in Edinburgh City Centre is a excellent stay if you're looking for something within budget, central and good staff. Best to book directly to prevent the issue we had.
